Connecting a Samba box to NT shares via smbclient
Anyone who can help, We have set up a Samba server running on solaris 2.5 and everything going in the direction of NT to Unix works great. I have experience doing this part. We are having problems getting things to work in reverse which unfortunately is our main reason for installing Samba. We wish eventually to mount two NT machines via samba so they can be included in the current Unix

Hello Sorry for the newbie question.. I am new to Windows environment. I have setup a Samba -Version 1.9.18p10 on a Solaris 2.5.1 m/c. I want to hook WIN _NT and 95 /98 clients to it. Winpoopup via ppp
A short time ago I wrote regarding browsing a network from a remote site connected via Windows 95 ppp - and recieved help - thank you. I enabled WINS on the server and pointed the Win95 Network WINS setting to that IP number. Now... is there a way to get winpopup to send/recieve messages via that same connection. At the moment, this happens:- 1) I am warned that Netware can only handle 39

Failed to connect NT workstation to Samba2.0alpha8
Hi Folks, I downloaded Samba2.0alpha8 from Samba site. Compiled it and installed it on the Solaris 2.6 unix box. I set up domain logon for both Windows 98 clients and WinNT. There is no problem logging on from Windows98 and the shares are all working alright. Then, I followed Samba NTDOM FAQ and add the NT workstation name into /etc/passwd and smbpasswd (using smbpasswd -a -m

Connecting Asterisk and BT Versatility PBX via NT BRI
Roberto Thanks. Panasonic KX-TD1232 system ISDN interface use DDK plug, not same cord you are using for openvox B400P card. Each port could be configured as CO or extension port as Point-Point or PTMP in both mode. Regarding to dial timeout these it becomes from ISDN dial mode overlap or En-bloc, by the way you can close dialling number by using # key. Best regards Mc GRATH Ricardo E-Mail

Strange problem connecting via NT
I am running Version 1.9.18p7 and I have a win95 machine and an NT machine connecting via ethernet. I have, for security reasons, reorganized my network to reduce outside threats. The network is set up using RFC1918 addressing, and I am using Linux 2.0.33 to transparent proxy outside requests to the net via a dialup PPP session with a dedicated IP address. The global section of my smb.conf

Browsing via Win95 ppp
While there is a lot about the above subject in the archives as well as FAQ's etc, I just can't seem to get this working. Our setup is a SCO 5 box running SAMBA 1.9.8p8 (the latest)on a network using a single domain and about 50 Win95 clients; and several remote Windows 95 clients which dial in using "dial up networking". Using explicit addresses, the remote clients can use

SIP via TCP - new TCP session per call or use same session for multiple calls?
So long as the tcp socket is open your SBC should send the call back over the same socket. Now it can be that your SBC is seeing the socket as timing out. If you are using Kamailio you can have it send tcp keep alives every so often so that the socket stays up. SIP via TCP - new TCP session per call or use same session for multiple calls?
Hi List I wonder how SIP via TCP is supposed to work. Not realy Asterisk related, but I hope you experts might be able to help out :-) One of our customers has a SIP device registering via a complex NAT. To benefit from TCP Connection Tracking, he choose TCP instead of UDP. So he expected, that an incoming call would be sent back to him on the already open TCP connection, making it easy to get

SAMBA digest 1850 (DNS name and netbios name differ)
The default setting for Win95 are to do DNS before WINS. You can try to change this order to see if this fixes the problem. I clipped the following from the Technet article - Q139270. It would be easier to disable DNS on a Win95 client to see if the name resolution order is causing your problem; then do all this happy stuff... ------------------------------------ cut

I tried putting a file named foo.def in the same directory with the line 'EXPORTS' and the names of the functions to be exported, but the file is deleted in the build process.
