Help Error
Hi R-users,
I would like to ask question related to error output.
If an error comments come out, then the program will automatically stop.
I want to ask , how I can still continue the program even though there is an error comment?

Large File Access from Linux to Linux Host using Samba
Hello again,
Correction, CIFS did not fix the problem, I can't get it to work with with a
Linux server from a Linux client. With two boxes named L-A and L-B, I can
connect using mount.cifs from L-A to L-B, but not vice-versa. On the
direction that fails, I get a NASTY register dump with a segmentation fault.
Meaningless to me, unfortunately. The only thing that makes since is the
dump says

Problems with ISDN (NT-Mode) - Error Messages inside
Hello everyone,
I try to connect the Asterisk PBX Server on my NTBA

I've tried a crosslink-ISDN cable, too.
My ISDN-Phone is connected on one port (of two)

When I start Asterisk and want to make a call I'll

Differential file systems?
Hello
Is there any progress in "differential file systems"?
Pardon if i missed that.
Usage Example:
I make a backup(*) copy of a database file, 1GB each file, today.
File size is "fixed" as the structure is predefined.
There are only a few place where values where changed.
Most of it is static.
Tomorrow i do the next backup and try to hard link to save disc space.

cross link connection fall down
Hey all,
i am fighting with a strange behavior here - i have two systems
connected via a direct crosslink wire. After booting, the connection
is up and both systems can reach the other one. After a small time window
the interface is down.

[Very Strange] Windows Networking suddendly stopped working
Hi list,
I hope that maybe one of you can shed some light on this, as this is a very
strange case and I don't even
have the slightest clue from what this symptom may all come from. Maybe not
Samba, maybe Hardware, maybe buggy
windows .....
Problem:
We have running a Samba 3.0.7 (from backports.org) Debian 3.0 STABLE Server here
for over a year now. On Tuesday this week we got the first

looking for a comprehensive list of centos-compatible yum repositories (for gnustep program)
I installed CentOS 6.4 on a partition on my computer a few days ago, and
i'm trying to equip it with the software i think i need.
For example, i need, or i think i need, a couple of gnustep programs
for uploading
images from my digital camera (the programs being openapp and Camera.app).
I imagine that these are old enough that they must surely exist
in rpms somewhere.
But i apparently

Can't access Samba Servers using cable internet access
Hello,
Ever since adding Internet access to my cable account, I can no longer
access several Samba servers on the Internet that I routinely accessed using
my dialup account. I've tried using both the inetd server (with my cable IP
address in the hosts.allow file. I can telnet, etc no problem, so I know
it's working) and running smbd and smbd as daemons. When I try to access the

T.38 not working - help needed with log interpretation
Dear all,
I have the following situation:
Local T.38 endpoint <-> ASTERISK <-> SIP provider (with T.38 support)
I am trying to send a fax from my local T.38 endpoint to arbitrary external fax numbers (which I am not in control of, so I don't know if the other end supports T.38, is connected to a PBX, who is their provider, and so on), of course trying to use T.38 at least from

Aix-Samba memory problem
Hi guys,
I recently came into a new site that is running Samba 2.2.8 on an AIX 4.3.3 box. They are sharing out about 2 terabytes using samba. Samba was installed using smitty and the binaries.
They seem to be experiencing a memory problem with this box. When I do a svmon -Pu the monitoring program shows that smbd has several processes of smbd running:
Inuse * 4096 = amount of memory being

Extraneous option in sshd_config?
Hi,
I've found the option in CentOS 7 in sshd_config file
#Host *.local
# CheckHostIP no
I think that option is for ssh_config, not for sshd_config. Please correct
me if I'm wrong.
Thanks in advance!
