Probably OT: Has anyone else seen SeaMonkey 'pop' without warning?
I sent a bug report to Mozilla about this, but I was hoping someone here might have an insight on this. I use SeaMonkey as my default browser (32-bit even though I'm running x86_64 CentOS 5.1), version 1.1.7. Shortyl after installing 1.1.7 on my 5.0 (and even since 5.1), I noticed that every so often, seemingly at random, although it appears most frequently when I click on something that

Fax with Asterisk and T38Modem
Hi, I'm fighting with HylaFAX, Asterisk and T38Modem since some time, to get fax2mail and mail2fax working, my SIP-provider only supports T38 and thus using G711 with IAXModem is not an option. I have got running mail2fax with HylaFAX+ 5.5.0, Asterisk 1.4.20 and T38Modem 2.0.0 successfull, but I'm not able to upgrade to anything newer than Asterisk 1.4.24. I was able to break down this

ghostscript-8.70-14.el5_8.1.x86_64 & hylafax+ 5.5.3
I am having some problems with hylafax+ on CentOS 5.9 converting files into appropriate tiff files that are faxable; the problem is apparently fixed in ghostscript 9.07. The CentOS repositories currently have ghostscript-8.70-14.el5_8.1.x86_64 I surely appreciate the maintainers of the repositories; can any of you direct me to whom maintains ghostscript on the repository or when 9.07 is

Problems with t38modem and bitrate sent to t38-termination service
Hi all the people in the list! I'm new on this list, this is my first post. I configured asterisk 1.6 with freepbx 2.7 and dahdi to send faxes with t38modem conected to hylafax as a sip extension of asterisk. Everything is supposed to be configured fine, the faxes start sending, but at the middle of the transaction, it fails. The T.38 termination provider told me that they were receiving

Using Asterisk as an Fax-Gateway for analog Fax devices
Hi, this problem could be a bit tricky. We?ve got some good old Fax-Machines here and need to create an fax-report of all faxes which goes out through this devices including an copy oft he fax. The fax-machines are not able to store this fax-report on an storage-place ore send it to an email-account. My idea is now, connecting the fax-machine though an analoge-VOIp Adapter to our

T38modem in loopback mode does not work on asterisk 1.4.20.1
Hi! I'm trying to get t38modem working and started with the loopback mode. I installed everything according to http://www.voip-info.org/wiki/view/T38modem+configuration+with+Asterisk and used a stock asterisk 1.4.20.1 compiled from source. Openh323, ptlib_unix and t38modem are compiled from source as well, as outlined on the wiki. Hylafax starts sending the job (sudo faxstat -s shows one

Hello! I'm still trying to get a working t.38 configuration w/ pjsip. I'm now able to send t.38 faxes to my own extension: hylafax -> t38modem -> extension -> extension -> t38modem -> hylafax. The fax is sent by t38modem. The receiving part of t38modem accepts the call, sends ReInvite for t.38 and things are working as expected. Now, let's do the nearly same

Asterisk, Hylafax and T38Modem - help!
Hi All, I know that this may not strictly be an asterisk issue, but if anyone has any ideas on this prob it would be appreciated. I have a working asterisk setup using Suse 9.1, a BT ISDN BRI card (Fritz?), sipura 3000 and a few cisco 7940's. I wanted to do add faxing into the equation, so I thought I would try and setup the following: PSTN->asterisk->hylafax->pc At the moment

Asterisk and hylafax: how to debug ...
Hi, I hope you might give me some hints on how to find where my configuration is wrong, I am new to Asterisk and do not know, how to find the problem. Running Asterisk (version: 1.8.13.1~dfsg-3) on Debian Wheezy. On the same maschine: Hylafax fax server. I want hylafax to use t38modem (a virtual T.38 modem) for sending faxes. t38modem schould connect to asterisk on the same host. If hylafax

Legacy PTY Support ?
I am looking at T38Modem. A relatively new version is ready for someone to build an rpm for (Mar '07). But the readme warns: Q. I try to use T38modem, but after run "t38modem -p ttyx0" I get a message "Could not open /dev/ptyx0: No such file or directory". A. Looks like you don't have legacy PTY devices compiled in your kernel. You need to re-compile the

Asterisk T.38 Passthrough + T38Modem/Hylafax - has anyone had luck with this?
Hi, I'm trying to get T.38 passthrough to work to T38Modem and Hylafax so I can terminate T.38 faxes from an ATA. However I haven't had much luck. I've tried two supposedly T.38 capable ATAs, the Grandstream 206 and the 502. The 286 seems to connect to T38Modem, but Hylafax doesn't get any fax data. The 502 never even gets fax tones from Hylafax, so it seems like its t.38 is broken

*Update Jul 2007:* For a T.38 gateway you can use Asterisk 1.4's T.38pass-through support in combination with the new OPAL (Open Phone Abstraction Library) - using t38modem (currently CVS) which now supports SIP (and not just H.323) to terminate T.38 calls. You can also use OPAL and chan_woomera to do essentially the same. Where can you find this t38modem stuff ? Google replies things that
