[LLVMdev] an annoying runtime bug of lldb on redhat enterprise linux 6.3 with gcc 4.8.2
Hi, all A few days ago I built lldb 3.3 release on our workstation with redhat enterprise linux 6.3 x86_64 (gcc verison 4.8.2). At the very beginning, lldb seemd to work and I debugged small native programs. Still, the bug showed itself randomly as follows: 1. at first, "(lldb)" prompt is missing and input from keyboard is not printed out, which means whatever I type, I can not read

OpenBLAS in everyday R?
True or False: when USE_OPENMP=1 is not used, then race conditions are not unexpected. If True, and we wish to avoid race conditions, then sources such as the conda channel and ubuntu would need to add this enhancement. If False, then what is the next step (i.e. forum) for debugging the race condition? On 01/11/2018 07:56 AM, Ista Zahn wrote: > > > On Jan 10, 2018 8:24 PM,

SSD for Centos SWAP /tmp & /var/ partition
Has anyone actually used a SSD in a Centos setup? My little experiment with a s/h WD drive for /tmp and SWAP partitions kicked the bucket on Wednesday, when the poor WD drive caught the click-of-death. It was a s/h drive to start with and lasted about 4 months. But that was without the /var/log/ partition being written to it, as I mounted that back onto /var/log from the original drive. So

OpenBLAS in everyday R?
I?m not really familiar with conda, but if they?re being packaged together then an omp build might be more appropriate. Perhaps another point for Juan?s list: whether OpenBLAS is the right choice to pair with. The library itself hasn?t produced optimized kernels for any of the Intel *Lake chips yet; might be worth considering its near- and long-term future (vs something else). Keith > On

Exclude & --delete not working?
Hi there, we have an odd problem, which maybe how rsync is intended to work, but I think not: On server side, we run rsync in daemon mode with a share [foo] that has a serverside path of /foo. On client side, we invoke rsync -zavuSH --delete server::foo/ /foo. The rsync daemon uses an exclusion list. The problem is, the client rsync deletes clientside whatever is in the exclusionlist. If I read

Problem with d/loading Wine using Synaptic
Hi all - I'm a first-timer here, and have been trying to install Wine from the new "Wine for Debian users" site (I'm using Mepis Linux which is Debian-based). I'm wanting to install the latest version (20050111-1), and have used the "force version" option in Synaptic to do this. I've tried this several times, but each time I get a "connection

Does anyone have Samba working with diald
I can not seem to get Samba and diald working together. Whenever I log in to my Windows 95 computer and it tries to map my drives to the Samba server diald dials and then the drive does not map. If I wait a minute or so and then right click on Network Neighborhood and do a find computer my Samba server shows up. I can than log on to Windows again and it maps the drive fine. Or I can unload diald

Feeding the framework ?
Hi there, Is it just me or do many other rspec / rpsec_on_rails users spend more time than they would like feeding the framework ? Don''t get me wrong, I love rpsec, but I seem to spend about 2/3 hours per week hunting down rspec problems. For example, today `rake spec:models` is broken. When I migrate, load fixtures and run `spec -cfs` all is well. When I run `rake spec:models`,

OpenBLAS in everyday R?
Thanks Keith. We checked, and indeed libopenblas is not linked against libomp nor libgomp. We suspect this is because we used conda to install R and OpenBLAS. So I guess we should be barking up the conda tree instead? By the way, I also noticed on my home machine (Ubuntu), /usr/lib/libopenblas.so.0 is also not linked against those, for what that's worth. OpenBLAS in everyday R?
Check if libopenblas is linked against libomp or libgomp. I?d be curious to see any errors that arise when an OpenMP version of OpenBLAS is linked with R.
