Problems compiling OpenSSH [no version info] on HP-UX 10.20 was: (no subject)
Aloha Jiwen (I used to get kama'aina discounts, but no longer)-- First, you didn't tell us what OpenSSH source code version you're trying to compile. Without that info there are any number of possible problems--so I'll assume (for now) that you're using the latest released portable version of OpenSSH. Please reply with specific version info. The fact that things are blowing

Problems compiling OpenSSH [no version info] on HP-UX 10.20 w as: (no subject)
Aloha Rip Thanks for your quick response. I did compile OpenSSH stuffs by using GCC 2.95.2 first, the error is the same. Since there are no issues on other platforms by using GCC 3.3.2, I tried to take a luck on HP-UX 10.20 by using GCC 3.3.2. Unfortunately, it is same, even at the same line What I am guessing is that it could be from some system environment variable setting, but I am not sure

Escobar&Meeker example survreg
Dear all, I am new to R and may make beginner mistakes. Sorry. I am learning using R to do survival analysis. As a start I used the example script code provided in the documentation of predict.survreg of the survival package: # Draw figure 1 from Escobar and Meeker fit <- survreg(Surv(time, status) ~ age + age^2, data=stanford2, dist='lognormal') plot(stanford2$age, stanford2$time,

Tripp-Lite Internet350Ser
Hello, I'm newbie with NUT, I'm trying to get work a *Tripp-Lite Internet350Ser*, a small UPS with serial port. The only reference about, is a modification patch that Mr. Patrick Levesque did for NUT 2.4.1 but the actual 2.6.1 looks to not have it yet. I tried all tripp and generic drivers but no success. Has anyone luck with this Tripp-Lite model? Thanks! Iv?n Escobar

How to annotate a graph with non-transparent math labels?
I do not know the precise language to describe the situation. But here it is what I want to do. I need to annotate a graph that contains two or more curves with labels that contain math symbols. The label must go on top of the curve. The problem is that when I annotate the plot, I can see the curve behind the label. Here it is an example using a simple straight line. x<-c(0,1)

Servreg $loglik
Dear R-experts: I am using survreg() to estimate the parameters of a Weibull density having right-censored observations. Some observations are weighted. To do that I regress the weighed observations against a column of ones. When I enter the data as 37 weighted observations, the parameter estimates are exactly the same as when I enter the data as the corresponding 70 unweighted observations.

Verify that: - A Xen host kernel was booted - The Xen service has been started verify what I said and everything ok. My question is: Hypervisor has to run with a processor with a bit of virtualisation? Thanks -- Escobar, Nicolas Dto. Tecnologia@ITC

[LLVMdev] Use of 'ldrd' instructions with unaligned addresses on armv7 (Major bug in LLVM optimizer?)

No, it is the core of the issue. Standard C gives the compiler certain

Further bug discovered with the Directshow decoder
Hi good people, Just to inform: I finally fed FFMpeg2Theora with a .VOB input, and the .OGV output produced played back beautifully in VLC, both audio and video. However, the same output .OGV file gave clicks and pops in the audio when fed through Directshow programs. I played it through Windows Mediaplayer as well as through Winamp, with the same crackles in the audio, and this leads me to

Q: problem with samba on AIX / RS6000 (Unix)
Hello, I'm trying to configure samba on AIX / RS6000. I have the smbd part of it running well . The nmbd part is giving us problems. Nmbd daemon dies as soon as started ! When I issue a 'ps -ef ' to see the processes, smbd runs but nmbd never. When using 'smbclient -L JAWS ' to debug the problem, I have the following output : Unknown parameter encountered : "local

Guest debugging fails for 32bit, works for 64bit
I''ve followed the instructions in tools/debugger/gdb/README for building and using gdbserver-xen. While playing around with debugging a running guest or dissecting a core file, I''ve discovered that using it with a 32-bit PV domU fails but it works fine on the same guest if it''s booted with a 64-bit kernel. Is this a known limitation, or am I doing something incorrectly?

Firefox 68 jnlp files
Not knowing what kind of server management you're looking for I can only make general suggestions. We found that the removal of Java support (actually NSAPI in favor of the Pepper API which Oracle has stated they won't support) left us with limited IPMI (iLO, DRAC, whatever) functionality. And, looking at https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Java_Web_Start, Oracle has stopped supporting javaws.

[ANNOUNCE] xorg-server 1.16.99.902
Ok, here's what I think we should release as 1.17. I plan on doing that in a few days (Monday? Tuesday?), unless there's some good reason not to. Let me know if there's some critical (i.e. crashing) fixes that I've missed somehow. And, again, I think we can run a shorter 1.18 cycle, given the pent-up list of fixes. Sorry for not getting this wrapped up sooner. Turns out that

nonlinear regression-getting the explained variation
Hi, I'm trying to teach myself R, and by the way, re-learning statistics using Crawley's "Statistics: an introduction using R". I've reached the regression chapter, and when it deals with non-linear regresion using the nls library I face the following problem: I follow the steps--- >deer<-read.table("c:\\temp\\jaws.txt",header=T) ---data available at

Question about RAID 5 array rebuild with mdadm
I'm using Centos 4.5 right now, and I had a RAID 5 array stop because two drives became unavailable. After adjusting the cables on several occasions and shutting down and restarting, I was able to see the drives again. This is when I snatched defeat from the jaws of victory. Please, someone with vast knowledge of how RAID 5 with mdadm works, tell me if I have any chance at all

ability to select which identity to forward when using "ForwardAgent" ?
Hi, I usually have around 10 identities loaded in my local ssh-agent and when I use the "ForwardAgent" option all them are forwarded to the remote server, which is not ideal. I usually only need to forward one (or two) of the identities and I would like to be able to choose which one(s) to forward. Looking for solutions it seems that the only option is to create a new ssh-agent, add

Weird problem in NMBD
Hi, I've a got kind of weird problem using nmbd. At least, I think is is weird because this problem isn't dealt with in any documentation. I got my nmbd up and running, when I issue the command 'nmblookup -U 10.0.0.1 __SAMBA__' (my IP is 10.0.0.1/255.0.0.0) I get a correct response: 'querying __SAMBA__ on 10.0.0.1 10.0.0.1 __SAMBA__<00>' But when I use a
