Authentication Problem Citrix NT 3.51 Samba 2.0.2
Hello, I am currently testing my old samba configuration, 1.9.18p10, under samba 2.0.2. Everything appeard o.k. for the first few hours, but then I started receiving calls from users of our Citrix based multi user NT 3.51 servers, that some of them could not connect to the samba shares. We are using two Citrix based boxes. Windd from Tektronix and NTRIGUE. I only had one user on the Windd

Samba-Citrix compatability
G'day, We are having problems when connecting to our Solaris 8 server Zeus from our Windows 2000 Terminal Servers. We are running Samba 2.2.8a on the unix box and are finding that from time to time people are having difficulty opening files from shares on this server. They also have difficulty mapping network drives. It reports errors such are "file doesn't exist". However, we

error message in fitting tcopula
Hi r-users, I really need help in fitting the t-copula. I try to reproduce the example given by Jun Yan in "Enjoy the joy of copula" but I'm not sure how to correct the error based on the error message. I tried so many ways but still could not get it working. loglik.marg <- function(b, x) sum(dgamma(x, shape = b[1], scale = b[2], log = TRUE)) ctrl <- list(fnscale

Erronous disk full message
Hello, I have discovered a slight problem with MS-Project4 on a WinDD server, where users are not able to update the *.MPP file. WinDD is Citrix Metaframe on Windows NT 3.51. We have all data files stored on a UNIX box, using samba-2.05a, so all *.MPP files are stored there, with the proper UNIX user's userid and permissions. The problem is that userB can not update and save changes in a

Samba 3 startup
Hello, I'd like to see if I can get some clarification on what is the preferred method of starting the Samba daemons (note that we are using Solaris, not Linux). This is something that I'm not able to find any explanation of in any of the Samba 3 documentation that I've looked at so far. In Samba 2 I would have the Samba daemons started up by the following in my /etc/inetd.conf:

Strange behavior on windows
Folks, Excuse me if this is obvious. I have done a google but haven''t found anything. I''m just going through the Ruby on Rails book and installed the software from the SVN server as it mentioned that a lot of things in the book won''t work with the current stable release. I started with the Depot example and ran: >ruby scriptgenerate scaffold Product Admin

SMB: : ver 2.2x vs 3.0 vs tng (diff's)?
OK: First, please respond to me directly, as I'm not on the TNG list. Here's the situation: I will be setting up a "computer lab" for 30-40 PC's with various users (students). Here are my needs: 1) One Touch (point) User administration (the simpler the better) 2) Simplest set of LINUX SW possible 3) NO NT PDC 4) All clients are W2K. 5) Want

[LLVMdev] Porting to System z
Hi, I am beginning the porting process for Linux on System z (aka IBM Mainframe). I thought I¹d build LLVM first with the c and cpp backends so that tools like TableGen would be created that I¹d then use to process the .td files that I¹ll be creating. So I used svn to grab the code from the repository and ran configure and make. However, the build breaks at this point: llvm[1]: Building

WinnDD and samba printing
Hi, I'm using WinDD 3.0 on NT3.5.1 (with Service Pack 5) and I'm trying to use Samba to go to unix (solaris 2.5.1). Now everything works except the printer stuff. Somebody (Laurence C. Brevard) already gave a description on how to do this, but this involved the following step: connect to your unix printer as administrator The problem is: I can't connect to anything on Unix via
