I've noticed that after my appeal for mirrors last week several people started mirroring samba.anu.edu.au without asking first. Don't do this! It causes the problem of network costs to go up enormously. For example, today we had about 150k hits on the server. About 60% of these were from web robots mirroring the site! Actually, I made it work by adding the ?min server protocol = NT1? on the virtual dedicated server. So I guess that this will solve our dilemma (unless I missed something). In any case, one of the robots now have access to the new server.
