How to hook WIN-NT client and WIN-95 client to Samba on Solaris2.5.1 ?
Hello
Sorry for the newbie question..
I am new to Windows environment. I have setup a Samba -Version
1.9.18p10 on a Solaris 2.5.1 m/c.
I want to hook WIN _NT and 95 /98 clients to it.
The Win clients are on the same network and are also hooked to other
Netware servers. I am not sure how this is
done. I have set up entries for the Samba server in the 'lmhosts'
file.

Easy Solaris2.5.1/Samba2.0.3 ???
All,
I only recently started using the Samba product on our Solaris 2.5.1 server.
I am using it for the sole purpose of creating unix type queues (actually
win clients with attached printers) to allow a 3rd party application (using
Oracle8.0.4) to print to client pc's. The 3rd party application will only
print via a unix queue. Below is the error I receive when trying to use
smbclient;

Hi,
This is the first time I've posted, and I apologize if I formulate this
incorrectly.
I am analyzing data from a multi-region carrot variety trial. 35 varieties
of carrots were grown in 3 randomized complete blocks in organic and
conventional fields in Wisconsin, Indiana, Washington, and California. In
this example I am comparing the heights of the carrot tops at harvest.

Mounting of NT Shares on SunOS
Hi There
Do anyone know about the posibility to mount an NT share into SunOS (SunOS
and Solaris 2.x) operating system.
I know there is a solution for Linux(smbmount, smbunmount), but this does
not work on SunOS because smbfs is not supported. Is there a known port of
the software on SunOS...?
I have looked into using a piece of software called rumba(software to mount
NT shares via smb to nfs)

Samba 3 Trust Relationship with Win2008 AD problem
I am trying to establish 2 way trust relationship between samba domain and
Win2008 AD domain. The trust relationship is established and even verified
by both side, but when I try to access samba resources from win2008 domain,
it prompts for username and password. However, I can access the win2008
resources from the samba domain without the prompting of username and
password.
My win2008 is

On mingw32, PRINTF_EXPONENT_DIGITS affects printf and tests would run
with PRINTF_EXPONENT_DIGITS=2.
An addition, it seems mingw-w64's printf tends to drop minus sign

problem creating trusts between NT4 and samba
Hi,
I recently installed Samba 3.0.11 on Suse 9.2 and have managed to get a
simple domain working (people can logon, share printers etc), however,
I'm having trouble setting up trusts between the new samba domain and
the old NT domain.
I'm following this help:

Is there have simplest way to make domain users which in remote desktop group can remote/local logon the workstation ?
What do you want: User should logon remote to windows workstations or do you want a remote login to your server?
For remote logon on windows workstations you need a group policy linked to the ou of your workstations. As far as I remember - I don't have a AD at home - you will have to create a new group e.g. GGX-Remotedesktop (abbreviation for Group Global Execute).
This group will become

Hi all,
I am having a problem with mysql. I set up root password
set password for root at localhost=password('xxxxxxxxx');
set password for root@'xxx.yyyy.com'=password('yyyyyyyy');
after that I tried to log in, but mysql says

I guess that I had the right password.

How can I send e164 ID to my gatekeeper?
Hi.
I'm using Asterisk & oh323.
My gatekeeper needs h323 ID and e164 ID for registration.
But I don't know how to send e164 ID.
I configure register section in my oh323.conf file like below.
[general]
<<snip>>
gatekeeper=xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx
[register]
alias=abc
alias=777
<<snip>>
And the gatekeeper doesn't need passward.
It authenticates to use only both h323
