Repost: Browsing across subnets (again)
I'm sorry if people are getting fed up with my question, but I didn't get a response from the first post, and I didn't even see the second post appear in the summary. Hi All, this is probably a common problem and FAQ but I can't the solution. I've got two subnets, 10.1.1.0/255.255.0.0 at Leeds and 10.2.0.0/255.255.0.0 at Doncaster. At Leeds, I've got samba running as

samba, win98, and browse list problem.
Hello, Here's a repost on my message of a few days ago, for reasons that I'm not sure if it went through. If it did, my apologies, all suggestions welcome. I'm having an identical problem on slackware linux 7.0 and freebsd 3.4-release and windows 98-2, with sp1, and samba 2.05 and 2.06, depending on which system I've got up. Whenever I restart samba for whatever reason, making a

WINS server not appearing in Nethood
Hi folks, I've had a setup working for quite some time and everything's fine except that the server that hosts the WINS never appears in the network neighbourhood, and when trying to connect to that server there is a small delay. As few people need to browse to it, the problem's had a low priority as the WINS side of it is working fine, and the rest of the nethood is also working

Naming convention for foreign keys
Hi, In "Agilge Web Development With Rails" on page 217, an example of foreign keys is shown. I am however unable to find a definition of wheater the naming of the index is significant. On the above mentioned page, this line is shown in the example: constraint fk_items_product foreign key (product_id) references products(id) In "fk_items_product", "items" is

"file changed as we read it" message during tar file creation on GlusterFS
Hi Mauro, What version of Gluster are you running and what is your volume configuration? IIRC, this was seen because of mismatches in the ctime returned to the client. I don't think there were issues with the files but I will leave it to Ravi and Raghavendra to comment. Hi All, any news about this issue? Can I ignore this kind of error message or I have to do something to correct it? Thank you in advance and sorry for my insistence. Frustrated with browsing, domains, and network logins ...
I'm trying to get cross-network browsing/domain logins working. In brief, I am very frustrated. We thought the initial problem was a browsing problem, but now it does not appear to be that. Even once the workstation can see the servers, it STILL cannot perform a Domain login, although it CAN access resources if I use the Ms Dos prompt and issue a 'net use ...' command. This

"file changed as we read it" message during tar file creation on GlusterFS
I think it is safe to ignore it. The problem exists? due to the minor difference in file time stamps in the backend bricks of the same sub volume (for a given file) and during the course of tar, the timestamp can be served from different bricks causing it to complain . The ctime xlator[1] feature once ready should fix this issue by storing time stamps as xattrs on the bricks. i.e. all bricks

"file changed as we read it" message during tar file creation on GlusterFS
Hi Ravi, thank you very much for your support and explanation. If I understand, the ctime xlator feature is not present in the current gluster package but it will be in the future release, right? evaluating NAs in a dataframe
Hi all, How can one evaluate NAs in a numeric dataframe column? For example, I have a dataframe (demo) with a column of numbers and several NAs. If I write demo.df >= 10, numerals will return TRUE or FALSE, but if the value is "NA", "NA" is returned. But if I write demo.df == "NA", it returns as "NA" also. I know that I can remove NAs, but would like

Complex sample variances
Hello, Is there a way to get complex sample variances in the survey package on summary statistics other than means? If not, can they be added to a future version? It would be be great to have them on totals, quantiles, ratios, and tables (eg row percent, columns percent, etc). Thanks. Fred --------------------------------- [[alternative HTML version deleted]]

Problems with Windows on KVM machine

Currently we are using the following: Intel 2312WPQJR as a node Intel R2312GL4GS as a storage with Intel Infiniband 2 ports controller Infiniband Mellanox SwitchX IS5023 for commutation. The nodes run CentOS 6.5 with built-in Infiniband package (Linux v0002 2.6.32-431.el6.x86_64), the storage - CentOS 6.4 also built-in
