RE: SOLVED: No audio when dialing in via PRI with Q.SIG
When inserting Ringing() before MeetMe()-conference picked up the call, everything works like a charm. I guess the PRI needed to see the ringing status before the call was answered. This is however never needed when dialing a SIP-extension or similar. I have also an update considering bad PRI b-channel numbering. It seems that only my first 15 channels actually work. Then our PBX tells Asterisk

Novell NetWare 3.2 + Paradox => slow Samba
Hi Jim, Does the Novell NetWare 3.2 server that you are trying to replace with Samba have any NLM's loaded to implement B-Tree lookups? If so, B-Tree processing is done on the Novell server without generating a lot of network I/O. In order to get the same kind of client - server performance, you would have to run some Paradox compatible server software on the Samba box. Thanks, Gary

Paradox on a Samba share
I've been trying to get a program that uses Paradox databases over Samba shares set up for a company here and I'm smashing my head into a wall. This is a custom application written with Delphi/BDE accessing Paradox tables on a network share. Previously they used Netware and all was glorious until the box died, since they're version of Netware was bootlegged ages ago I decided to

No sound in one calling direction, men using PRI with E1 and Q.SIG
I've been trying lots of configurations now. And the problem that I can't solve is this: I have a Digium T205P card. I have connected one of the connections to our internal PBX (NEC 2000 IPS). The Asterisk is configured as pri_cpe, and the NEC is configured to be the network side of the connection. Both ends are using b-channels 1-15 and 17-31, the d-channel is on 16. When I start

Updated: No audio when dialing in via PRI with Q.SIG
After lots of testing I discovered that I could get the sound to work. The only thing I had been testing was MeetMe and Voicemail. But when I dialed a SIP-phone, or routed back to other phones via the PRI interface, everything works just great! The problem only seem to occur when dialing directly into Asterisk, when Asterisk sends the audio output. I have also discovered that the PRI never seem to

win95 & NT4 concurent access to paradox database
Hi, I use samba for one year only, but with full satisfaction. Only with latest cvs tree I discovered some (maybe particular) problem. In mixed environment of win95oemII and NT4 workst (sp3 or sp4) we share some Paradox 7.0 database on linux server (Rh5.2 and 2.2.0-pre1 kernel). Paradox controls multiuser access to the data with three files: PDOXUSRS.NET (user names etc?), and two lock files,

Access Database SLOW
I've got a user that wants an Access database shared out. I've got a decent machine serving out the directory (300 MHz Pentium II) running RedHat 5.0 (kernel 2.0.34) with Samba 1.9.17p4 (RPM is samba-1.9.17p4-3). I've created a simple share entry in the smb.conf file: [global] debug level = 1 browsable = yes comment = Samba under Linux (RedHat 5.0) domain master = yes

Had it with Dell Garbage - HP Question
I've got two DL385s and a DL320, and they all rock. iLO especially rocks, but to leverage the full functionality, you'll need to get the "Advanced License", which opens up full blown remote console capabilities (via Java). It's a separate piece of hardware that, as long as the server PSUs have power flowing into them, lets you do things like remotely power on/off/reset the

Slow logoff
I am running Samba 2.2.8a. My XP and 2000 boxes take a long time to log off. They appear to be saving profiles. The Windows 98 and XP/2000 workgroup boxes log off quick as a bunny. It the slow log off because XP/2000 domain members must push all their settings to the Samba server or is there a problem with my Samba installations? I have three discrete Samba networks that all exhibit the same

How important are oplocks?
Hello, I'm wondering just how critical it really is to turn off oplocks. It appears that not only Windows 2k server, but also Netware 5 and above defaults to having these enabled. I just spoke with two software companies running databases off of file servers (no database server, just MDAC stuff), and they had never heard of it, much less require it to be disabled. Everything I've

Cingular/ATT killing my IMAP/POP connections with bad TCP FIN packets?
Hello all, I've got an issue I'm almost positive is not related to Dovecot, but was wondering whether anyone else has had similar problems or could duplicate my results. Please accept my apologies if this is considered off-topic or this issue is actually just a symptom of my own ignorance. Also, sorry for how long this email got, I knew I wouldn't be able to explain my issue in

No filelocking at "shared-mailboxes" dictionary?
Using imapsync I changed many ACLs on many accounts simultaneously in four concurrent IMAP-sessions. I started with an empty file "shared-mailboxes". But after the sync the file "shared-mailboxes" has been crashed. I found broken lines and I'm missing some entrys. Is it possible that there's no filelocking on that file? I used the ext3 filesystem. That's
