printing with wine thru ghostscript
The printing howto is a little vague in this area. How do I go about
printing through ghostscript from windows? I know how to teach
ghostscript to print the ttfs (generate the appropriate afms, add them
to the fontmap). Where do I place the afms for wine to use? If I
provide afms for each truetype font for wine, and then use a postscript
printer ppd file, and set lpt1 to be |lpr, will this

Printing problems with Firefox
I have been having problems printing web pages with Firefox under CentOS
4.8:
Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.9.0.14) Gecko/2009091009
CentOS/3.0.14-1.el4.centos Firefox/3.0.14
What happens is that some of the text is 'scrambled' (looks like
somehow something is messed up with the font encoding of whatever font
is being used). Sometimes the postscript (or PDF) code being

[Fwd: Re: Unable to fix corrupt directories with fsck.ocfs2]
Robin,
To me, anyone else includes the kernel of the current node.
Well, if it is unclear the man page should be revised. Also a big warning message on ocfs2.fsck would be nice, after all we all make mistakes. But this is only my two cents.
Running fsck on any journaled filesystem will replay the journal. This will cause corruption if the filesystem is mounted read/write, even if the

printing with Apple printer driver and ghostscript filter prints final garbage page
Hi,
(now my second problem):
I configured AFPL Ghostscript 7.00 as print filter to my HPDJ640C on Linux RedHat
kernel 2.4.12 and use Samba 2.2.0 to access the printer from Win2K.
On the Win site I tried several driver (currently Apple Color LW 12/660 PS)
but every configuration prints in addition to the correct content an additional
finale page like this:

Printing "printer" fonts with Corel-WINE
Does anyone know if it is possible to use the "printer" with WordPerfect
9-Linux and WINE?
I think that I have set up the configuration files correctly, but I
don't see the fonts in the application (I don't know if they would print
since I cannot select them).
Note: my "printer" is GhostScript but WINEPS shouldn't know the
difference, and I am using the

Printing PDF very slow
Dear all,
We are trying to get the Windows client to print thought postscript printers
to SAMBA box, Windows apps (Words, Outlook, etc..) freeze for a long time to
spool and print to SAMBA ghostscript. We have a windows 2000 PDC and using
SAMBA 2.2.4. Normal SAMBA file sharing, browsing and transfers are fast.
I sincerely thank you for your help.

printing problem
I'm testing a printserver with Samab/ Cups.
Every time I want to upload the driver to samba for printing I get the following error:
"Printer settings could not be saves. Access denied"
I chmod 777 the driver directory and spool directory.
I gave specified the user as printer admin in the share.
My firewall is disabled.
Why is it still giving me the access denied error?

mac ghostscript help
Hello R community,
I am hoping to use a new package that I just installed called
"grImport" to import ps images into R for further manipulation using
either base graphics or grid. I downloaded the most recent version
of Ghostscript from http://www.cs.wisc.edu/~ghost/ that I could find
(v.8.56) for Mac OSX. However, I am apparently quite ignorant about
