NT Wkst auto printer driver installation
Hello all, Please forgive me if this is a FAQ, but I haven't seen it explicitly in any of the docs (although I find the Samba documentation EXTREMELY confusing and complex, so I may have missed it). Essentially, I have been able to follow the instructions in 'PRINTER_DRIVER.txt', and Win9x clients can install printer drivers for Samba shared printers instantly and easily. However

Again Asterisk and VMWare - it works now!
Hi, I have succeed using Asterisk on VMWare on an Athlon@1GB with 128 MB allocated for the Linux virtual machine. I have connected this PBX with another one using IAX/GSM. I can call the other part and the sound is great, without any interruption. The phone used is a Cisco7960 with G.711, so still a codec conversion is in place (GSM/G.711) and Asterisk/VMWare Wkst performs very well. The problem

nt 4.0 printing to samba 17p2 as non-guest
when using an nt 4.0 client, i can get non-guest access to all shares as i want. however, i cannot get access to any printers unless the printer is setup as a guest printer. nt 4.0 always seems to try to use the printer as guest user. nt 4 never gives me the chance to give a passwd for access to the server. (i do have SP3 on nt). if i use win 95 client, i can get access to all shares and

Access Data Base Reading on Linux Platform
Dear All, I am really far from a database expert (I do prefer flat files as long as that is reasonable), but I have to deal with an accdb database (Microsoft Access new format). It all stems from the fact that I run R almost exclusively on Debian platforms. I did a bit of googling http://r.789695.n4.nabble.com/How-to-load-data-from-accdb-into-R-td4656613.html
