wireframe - add data points
Hello all,
I’m trying to add some data points to a wireframe. X an Y axis are independent variables, Z axis is predicted probability. I’d like to add the original data points on which the predicted probabilities are based to the wireframe. I’ve followed some of the previous post on this but get stuck :
## first part yields the wireframe##

A tale about pci and xen
Hi there,
Just want to share a issue that i had with a DVB pci card on domU. I´m
using xen 3.1 (so far the one that works best with my various pci
passthrough devices), and I wanted to export a DVB pci card to a mythtv
backend domU. The domU could see the device, and load the modules
correctly, but when it tried to use the device the domU froze, and cpu
went 100%. After trying a lot of

Updated 2.2.8a to 3.0.7-1 and Cups went South
Mates,
On my Suse 9.0 pro installation, I updated Samba from 2.2.8a to 3.0.7.
The upgrade went flawlessly, Samba is happily sharing all the files it was
before. However, I can no longer print via cups. I have a HP LJ4 attached to
the Linux box that worked great before the upgrade. I have 2 XP clients. Now
from the Windows side, I get the printer status showing 'access denied,

reduced set of alternatives in package mlogit
Hi Jose,
You're referring to your response variable when you're saying it's missing
some of the choices, right? Are your response choices ever known or do they
just occur with extremely low frequency? Either way, I think the mlogit
package would be inappropriate for you. I imagine you would have much
better luck using MCMCpack or writing a model with rstan or something
Bayesian.

Failed to connect NT workstation to Samba2.0alpha8
Hi Folks,
I downloaded Samba2.0alpha8 from Samba site. Compiled it and installed it
on the Solaris 2.6 unix box.
I set up domain logon for both Windows 98 clients and WinNT. There is no
problem logging on from
Windows98 and the shares are all working alright. Then, I followed Samba
NTDOM FAQ and add
the NT workstation name into /etc/passwd and smbpasswd (using smbpasswd -a

"PLEASE do read the posting guide http://www.R-project.org/posting-guide.html
and provide commented, minimal, self-contained, reproducible code."
Moreover, this sounds like a statistical question, not a question
about R programming, and so might be more appropriate for a
statistical list like stats.stackexchange.com .

Samba 3.0.26a, windows 2k3 r2 SFU, problems with auth/nss
Dear samba list,
For some time we've had servers connecting to a w2k3 r2 server via
ADS setup. Wins was working fine and users were able to authenticate.
Recently we've added a GFS like system. This required getting the
UID/GID's unified. Suggestions were made on the samba IRC channel to
install SFU on the PDC. I'm receiving some very strange output.
Usernames/pwd have

LVM use for Xen
Hi.
I''m going to install a testing machine with Xen on Debian Sarge.
I wish to use LVM to partition the hard disk to be able to resize LVM partitions to create new partitions for new domU when I will create new ones.
How I can configure LVM at Debian installation to obtain this?
Could you advise me a partitioning scheme, please?
Thank you very much and goodbye!

killing UUCP
Hey *, I'm getting an audit coming down the pipes and I have 2
4.6 release boxes to clean up. I say "clean up" because they
have some requirements that I missed despite due diligence. My
specific question is: To what extent can I get rid of UUCP?
Aside from the SUID/SGID stuff that pops up via my finds, I
simply see no reason to have any UUCP stuff on these boxes. Is
this stuff

Samba ADS on AIX 6.1 TL04
Hi All
I'm trying to intergrate samba server with ADS on AIX 6.1 TL04, for last one
week, with idmap / winbind but no satisfactory results. I have gone through
various links at samba.org relating to winbind, idmapper and followed
http://pware.hvcc.edu/ for precompiled binaries and
http://pware.hvcc.edu/AIX-Samba.pdf which is for AIX 6.1 TL03 though.
I have found the samba which is provided
