problems with DFS
Hi, We have been a samba shop since way back and have used DFS quit a lot the last years. When we went with security ads instead of domain our dfs died. We have tried 3.028(sun) in solaris wich we are leaving and 3.2.1 in linux, our migration target. For our 3.2.1 installation the config looks liket this and the problem manifests itself as a empty share. [Global] kernel oplocks = False oplocks

boxplot and xlim confusion?
I have some code as shown below. Basically, I would like three boxplots to be set next to each other with no ylabels on the two "inner" plots, and I want the same x axis range on all three. However, it seems like boxplot does not respect the xlim setting. I've tried the various ways I thought would work (par, boxplot(...xlim=)) but none of them seem to work. I then tried plot.window,

Using SSH as "su"-substitute
Hello everybody! I'd like to present a feature wish: using ssh as a substitue for su. Of course, if I have a forwarding agent (or the correct key) I can simply do a ssh -l <other_user> localhost but that's not really optimal - the environment gets lost as I'm newly logged in, agent forwarding has one more hop to traverse, the data is once more en/decrypted, ... So I propose

(see attachments) I am starting smbd and nmbd up using a startup script out of /etc/init.d with the options: --exec /usr/sbin/nmbd -- -s /etc/samba/smb.ts.conf -D; --exec

ACL problem with WinXP and Samba 2.2.5-2.2.8
Trying to add users using security tab i WinXP doesn't work for us, no users are added. Existing ACLs are possible to change and delete. This behavior has been identified with both Solaris 2.6, Linux 2.4.9-31 with XFS, Samba 2.2.5 and 2.2.8. I'm attaching global part of out smb.conf and a snippet from the log. Our users are in an NT domain and in NIS. Regards, Johannes smb.conf:

RE: samba and crash server
hi, the smbd daemons are fallting into process status "D" (uninterruptible sleep). The only way to ged rid of these processes is rebooting your system! To analayze why smbd is falling into status "D" you have to check your logs. Another option is building a strace profile of smbd to see what`s going on. cheers Stefan -------- Original Message -------- Subject: [Samba] RE:

glmmPQL and spatial correlation
Hi all, I'm running into some computer issues when trying to run a binomial model for spatially correlated data using glmmPQL and was wondering if anyone could help me out. My whole dataset consists of about 300,000 points for which I have a suite of environmental variables (I'm trying to come up with a habitat model for a species of seal, using real (presence) and simulated dives

Hi Jerry, Thank you for this statement! ... the problem in the last days/weeks was, no infos from the team members! It is no big problem if something is not working. But, if we are making tests and reports bugs/problems and so on ... And no one from the team give a answer ! This will make us crazy, too. You and all of the team members make a great job! ... we will see us in Goettingen!

[LLVMdev] Non-local DSE optimization
Hi Jakub, interesting patch. I ran it over the Ada testsuite and this picked up some problems even without enabling dse-ssu. For example, "opt -inline -dse -domtree" crashes on the attached testcase. nested factorial effects in a lme model
Hi. I would like to run a mixed effects model, but there's one aspect of the model that I don't know how to code. My goal is to analyze data from an experiment in which I tested the swimming performance (i.e., Umax) of two species of fish from 4 different lakes (a sample of the data is below). Each fish was tested when it was rested and when it was tired, and each test was

[LLVMdev] Non-local DSE optimization
Hi, It looks like PDT.getRootNode() returns NULL for: define fastcc void @c974001__lengthy_calculation. 1736(%struct.FRAME.c974001* nocapture %CHAIN.185) noreturn { entry: br label %bb bb: br label %bb } Isn't it a bug in PostDominatorTree? Please note that this crashes: opt -postdomtree -debug dom_crash.bc I think this should be reported as a bug, -Jakub On Sep 3, 2009, at
