My domain member file server can't connect to domain controllers
My friends: My samba file server have been working well for a year up to yesterday, when It stopped suddently. It was on a debian vz container (Proxmox 3.4). The first problem was a root user with quota exceeded and I couldn't get domain users using "wbinfo -u". I got out quota restrictions from the container but I can't still use wbinfo. Then, when I try to use "net

Decent Performance
Hi all, I am trying to get some decent speed out of a vanilla Debian (Proxmox) box and am running out of ideas. Basically I can exchange data at 110MB/sec (raw, nfs, ftp) but not with Samba shares. I tried almost every samba tuning tip I could find to no avail. The only optimisation left to smb.conf at the moment is debug level = 0. As one can see the robocopy throughput is merely half of what

OpenVZ with asterisk 13
Dear Mitul, I already told my boss about it, I really want a single box, no virtual, but my boss insist. He said that openvz use less resource then KVM (or other virtual for cloud). I really need a solid analysis to argue with him. On the other hand, dahdi cannot be installed in openvz virtual server. I dont have any experience with openvz at all. I have several large customers (200+ extensions) running on vSphere without issue. Not sure about OpenVZ, thought. 2015-04-07 11:36 GMT-03:00 Mitul Limbani <mitul at enterux.in>: > Show him this freaking thread, or else ask him to prove it otherwise. > > We all here have decades of exp dealing with asterisk. > > Mitul > On 07-Apr-2015 7:27 PM, "Ikka

/etc/vz/vznetctl.conf has to be /etc/vz/vznet.conf
Hi! In [1] it's written that "Then a generic configuration file /etc/vz/vznetctl.conf must be created containing [...]" whereas it has to be /etc/vz/vznet.conf since /usr/sbin/vznetcfg script has the following line VZNETCFG='/etc/vz/vznet.conf' vzctl version is 3.0.26-1. Greetings, I'm a big OpenVZ fanboy. I've sent a few emails on this list that proves that... and I'm sure I've annoyed some people... but be that as it may... I would like to draw everyone on this list's attention to Proxmox VE. What is Proxmox VE? Here's a review from the end of June: ProxMox: The high-performance virtualization server for the rest of us

Urgent :) Procedure for replacing Gluster Node on 3.8.12
Status: We have a 3 node gluster cluster (proxmox based) - gluster 3.8.12 - Replica 3 - VM Hosting Only - Sharded Storage Or I should say we *had* a 3 node cluster, one node died today. Possibly I can recover it, in whcih case no issues, we just let it heal itself. For now its running happily on 2 nodes with no data loss - gluster for teh win! But its looking like I might have to replace the
