Subversion causing Apache to hog memory
Hello:
I posted this to the subversion list yesterday and have
not received a reponse. I am hoping someone on this
list will be able to help me.
I have a CentOS 5 server running subversion 1.5.6-0.2.el5.rf
installed using yum from the rpmforge repository.
I am using svnsync to mirror from another repository to
the local machine. It is called from a cron job every 5 minutes.
After a few days

Hi
I'm trying to change a commit message that became malformed when pushing to

[LLVMdev] Request: Changing commit message in llvm trunk
Thanks for all the feedback guys
So rather than speculating about what could and might not break.
I am going to test all these different scenarios by creating my own svn
server, svn mirror and git mirror etc
I'll get back to you all with details on what breaks and what doesn't soon
with changing the commit msgs
Many Thanks
Martell

[nut-commits] svn commit r2504 - in branches/AsciiDoc/docs: . website
FYI, I've fixed the below error in the log, directly on the server.
The "pre-revprop-change" hook is not in place, so "svn propedit / propset"
do not work.

Arjen,
since we're using svn logs to generate the ChangeLog, I went on the server

rsync dead loop (almost) forever in read_timeout() if remote host down
Hi All
This can be reproduced easily. run rsync under gdb and set a break point
at read_timeout(). then after rsync talk with remote rsync daemon and
stop at this function, turn off remote machine directly. then let rsync
run and it will run forever in this function.
if we just kill remote rsync daemon, it is fine and quickly detected,
because OS do clean up work. But if power off the box

This is where it sets a sort of 60 second timeout if you don't set a
timeout at all. As far as what it affects, I'm not that good with the
code. I just know that my big syncs would die in almost exactly 1 minute
unless I specified a timeout, and then would die at that timeout until i
got it very large.

Perhaps someone can shed some light on the problem I'm having using
rsync 2.4.6. I'm getting the following error:

hang with rsync 3.0.0pre7 doing local copy
I've noticed the 3.0.0pre versions sometimes hanging while doing a local
copy (through dirvish). This time a had a binary with debugging symbols,
so I could do gdb backtraces. This is the result:
# ps -fe | grep rsync

backups and md5 all in one while splitting
I'm trying to back up our svn repositories, and I found a nice little
backup command line bzip's the backup and creates the md5 hash all in one:
svnadmin dump --deltas /repo |bzip2 |tee dump.bz2 | md5sum >dump.md5
The problem is I need to split the backups, so this doesn't really
work. Is there perhaps another way of piping things to allow for
splitting of the backups?

rsync hangs when tunneling... help!
Greetings and salutations, rsync users. I have a problem. I'm hoping that
someone out there could perhaps provide a hand.
I've been trying to transfer large amounts of data (lots of data, lots of
files) via rsync over an encrypted TCP tunnel, but I seem to be continually
getting hangs in the transfers -- things will go along for a bit, and then
just come to a screetching halt. There

Installing plugins without svn:// access
Hi,
I''m trying to get up and running with rspec on a new project. I''d like to
install the rspec and rspec_on_rails plugins (per
http://rspec.rubyforge.org/documentation/rails/install.html), but my
corporate firewall blocks port 3690 so I can''t access the repository via
svn://
I searched the docs and the mailing-list archive to figure out how to
install the plugins
