New to Centos
Good day, I would like to first test and then use centos 5.5. I downloaded centos 5.5 x86_64 live CD. Problem...screen resolution only 800x600. In fedora 14 it is 1024x768, same in debian squeeze and opensuse11.3. Could there be a way to increase the resolution? in either i386 or x86_64. Thanks Regards Johan

centos 5.5 x86_64 live cd
good day, I am new to centos. Using a standalone laptop. Downloaded and burned the live cd. All seem ok except screen resolution only 800x600. Most importand I do not seem to find the install to hard disk option anywhere. Some distros I tried do have an option to install on the screen when you are happy about the OS. Googled but could not find the howto for the live cd install. Kindly

How to run single compiler-rt test in monorepo?
Hello all, I am having trouble running only a single lit-based test of compiler-rt. My folder structure is: inside the llvm monorepo checkout, I have a dir "build" with subdir "buildtrunk". I ran cmake inside "buildtrunk" and also run ninja from there. For LLVM I can do the following: > cd build/buildtrunk/test > ../bin/llvm-lit --show-tests . And it shows

rsync --delete problems
For some time I have been using rsync to backup data between different machines and my NAS drive. But within the last 2 days I have found out that rsync is not removing old files from destination - directories renamed or removed from source. In this example I want to sync files on my Debian Linux server to a NAS drive. NAS drive is mounted using smbmount. Using "-avhzn" dry-run it

exclude internal network from wondershaper
I''m having a network inside of a dsl modem and I''m using wondershaper on the computers to be able to surf while bulk downloading. The problem is that also the internal traffic is shaped, which means the internal network is at 200kb/s, instead of 100Mb/s. Is there a way to exclude the internal adresses from the wondershaper rules, or is there any other good way to solve this?

trailing star/double star in --exclude
Is there any difference in rsync behaviour between "--exclude /dir/*" and "--exclude /dir/**" (one and two trailing "stars")? Will rsync enter and scan content of dir/ (and thus change access time of files and directories) in any of these examples? Here in list rsync users show both variants in their examples, on practice I see no difference, but maybe there is a

[LLVMdev] llvm-gcc compilation error: BUILT_IN_ADJUST_TRAMPOLINE undeclared
You're right, thanks. However, now I ran into the next problem. This seems to be related to the fact that I have a 64-bit machine? $ ../../src/llvm-gcc/configure --prefix=/home/johan/llvm --program-prefix=llvm- --enable-llvm=/home/johan/llvm/obj/llvm --enable-languages=c,c++ ... $ gmake ... /home/johan/llvm/obj/llvm-gcc/./gcc/xgcc -B/home/johan/llvm/obj/llvm-gcc/./gcc/

[LLVMdev] LLVM instrumentation
The PGO was my first guess but I can get a lot of information. At first, I follow the explanation at http://clang.llvm.org/docs/UsersManual.html#profiling-with-instrumentation but instead of llvm-profdata merge, I used llvm-profdata show *.profraw. Sadly, the information I get is the total number of function, the maximum function count and the maximum internal block count. Do you know if you

[ThinLTO] static library failure with object files with the same name
It is expected and not unusual to need to update the lit test in such case. I'd need to see exactly which test breaks and how to know though. [ThinLTO] static library failure with object files with the same name
The fix (https://reviews.llvm.org/D37961) does not work. From what I have learned thusfar, the module identifier is used as filename sometimes (I think when writing an intermediate module index summary), and so a bunch of lit tests fail with the "fix". I'll look further into fixing this, any help is appreciated. ( One thing that may be important is to have a deterministic suffix.

Rsync in daemon mode
Hi, I am a newbie to Rysnc and a had a quick question, the answer for which I wasn't able to find in the documentations. Currently I have Solaris system A which has files that are being generated and changed in real time. I am running rysnc in daemon mode on A.(server) On system B I use the appropriate rysnc command to connect to system A and sync all the files on B. I am having

[LLVMdev] LLVM instrumentation
Yeah I have already see pintool but I need this to work with ARM and Intel. If I remember correctly, pintool does not work on ARM (or quite bad). My goal with the instrumentation is, once I have the information (time + call), to choose (during a second compilation) if some of my passes are applicable or not.
