Rsync copies all files, not just changed files
Hello all,
I have a strange problem where rsync is copying over all files instead of
just the ones that have changed.
My setup:
--------------
Backup server runs a script that calls rsync in more or less this form:
"rsync --rsh=ssh user at remote.server.com:/backups/stuff /localbackup"
Of course, I use a # of options, but the main ones are "-axS"
Just in case, here are

include-from with different source points
Trying to automate backup of the following local mounts/directories to
a usb drive (/mnt/usbbackup); here's what's in my include file:
+ /home/gravyface/www/*
+ /mnt/datadisk1/music/*
+ /mnt/datadisk2/projects/*
If I run the following, nothing happens, so I checked the man and I'm
not specifying a source (I thought the include-from was the source):
sudo rsync --progress -avz

Sync files-from with delete
I have a local directory that I am trying to sync with a remote directory. That's fine, but there's a lot of data that is out of sync so I decided to make a local copy of the difference to then bring to the remote location.
So I ran a dry-run between the two to generate a list of files in listOfFiles.txt
Then I ran rsync from local to localBackup.
rsync -av

sync re-copies emails assigning new UIDs
Hi,
I have been (attempting) to transition a company from in-house dovecot 1.x
to a hosted dovecot 2.2 setup.
I am running the doveadm sync command, and for the four mailboxes have been
blocked -- sync'ing seem to be copying the same mails, over and over (note,
initially I was using doveadm backup but my reading has indicated that
'doveadm sync' is better)
Example:
# date

idmap choice for print server
Hi everyone,
I am trying to set up a SAMBA print server as an AD domain member.
In the SAMBA Wiki there's a section about idmap and I have to admit I don't understand what the correct choice for my case would be.
I have a domain controller where all users of the AD are and the SAMBA server should only act as a print server.
Thank you in advance.

Samba 3alpha. Where are my DOS long filenames?
Does ANYONE know why a directory listing from the MSDOS box of a
Windows9x/Me client of a Samba 3 share on Linux not show the long
filenames as well as the mangled form? This works on Samba 2.2.3.
All I get is this.
Volume in drive T is TESTBED1
Directory of T:\

AUTOEXEC I4 406 04/12/00 17:17

"Doh!", or: The Sync'ing Feeling I Get With Recursion
This message describes (imho) a behaviour bug in rsync. I'm going
to submit a patch, but before I dive into the code I want to know what the
actual desired behaviour should be. In other words, please comment.
I have some directories I want to keep synchronised between two
machines (call them "master" and "backup").

Does Asterisk 1.8. Supports Video Calls
Hi Guys,
Do you know of any asterisk community version that does video codec
trans-coding or in other words supports video? I have 1.8.8.1 and I see
h263.c format files but can't see that codec in make menuselect. it might
be just a license issue (if h263 has to have license), but not sure if
community versions offer video calls at all.
Thank you!
