Problems streaming just one file, yet /default works fine.
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Hello, We are needing to use icecast to stream a single mp3 _from_the_beginning_ of the file. Using Icecast and Shout, everything works fine, the problem with that is that when you conenct to /default you start listening at whatever point shout is currently playing at. This is not satisfactory at all, the stream must start at the beginning of the

dovecot: pipe() failed: Too many open files
In the past few months we've been having increasing problems with dovecot timing out pop3 logins. As best I can tell it gets to the point where it won't accept any new pop3 logins. The error in the mail log is: dovecot: pipe() failed: Too many open files I've researched this problem a number of times, usually I see suggestions to increase ulimit. I've done this a number of

Adobe Photoshop uses wrong permissions when saving
That doesn't help my version of the problem, though. My create mask is 701, but Photoshop is creating files with permissions 777. -----Original Message----- From: Tim Allen [mailto:timallen@ls82.fsnet.co.uk] Sent: Friday, December 07, 2001 7:28 AM To: samba@lists.samba.org Subject: Re: Adobe Photoshop uses wrong permissions when saving What is force create mode set to? Rsync spawning a child process when pulling files ?
Hi, I am using rsync 3.0.4 on a WinXP machine (with CygWin) to synchronize my files to a RedHat Linux server. Everything is working perfectly, but there is one thing I do not understand. Apparently there is a difference in pushing and pulling files with rsync. When I push my files to the server with this command, I see one rsync process on my WinXP machine, just as expected rsync -rlt -e

WARNING: <file> failed verification -- update discarded (will try again).
I've been using rsync for a long time, and it's very cool. For the first time, last night, I got a message I don't understand. I am using rsync 2.6.4 on Fedora (FC4) Linux to a Fedora (FC3) Linux machine. The command I am using is: rsync -av --delete-excluded --exclude="*~" --exclude="#*#" <source dir> remove_machine:<dest dir> I got the following

Making rsync compile under Mac OS X 10.3.9 with extended attributes
Somebody knows if it's possible to compile rsync (version 3 would be great, but can be 2.6.x) under Mac OS X 10.3.9 with extended attributes? Under OS 10.3.9 the Apple shipped rsync have not yet the -E argument option. RsyncX have a double free bug that is annoying. "Q" rsync 2.6.6 with extended attributes binary only works on 10.4 and above. I have tried to compile rsync

FYI: Heroku Cedar, pg, openssl, omniauth, troubles and a solution
Hi guys, I found a really nasty issue that affects people running on Heroku''s cedar stack. We are using Rails 3.1.rc5, pg 11, omniauth 2.6. Ruby is 1.9.2.180p Basically there is an incompatibility between the http, pg and OpenSSL modules which segfaults when making https calls, for example to log in through twitter. Now pg is a required gem when using Heroku cedar stack so leaving that

Function that is giving me a headache- any help appreciated (automatic read )
note: whole function is below- I am sure I am doing something silly. when I use it like USGS(input="precipitation") it is choking on the precip.1 <- subset(DF, precipitation!="NA") b <- ddply(precip.1$precipitation, .(precip.1$gauge_name), cumsum) DF.precip <- precip.1 DF.precip$precipitation <- b$.data part, but runs fine outside of the function: days=7

Rsync with OS X 10.3
Hi Jason, Here's rsync10.3xattr_supportv0.6.diff. You can find fileflags.diff and crtimes.diff (that are not from me, but I strongly recommend you to install) here: http://samba.anu.edu.au/ftp/rsync/src/rsync-patches-3.0.5.tar.gz As you could see in the mail from the mail-list, this version have a bug with filenames containing slashes ("/"). They are converted to colons

Heroku Slugsize shot up drastically
Hi, Locally my application is 7MB without tests and logs, etc. The .git folder is 29 MB. I also have no gems / plugins in vendor folder. 95% of images sit on S3. However on committing to Heroku it shows -----> Compiled slug size is 62.7MB What is wrong? It happened? To add more context my .gitignore file is .bundle, db/.sqlite3, config/ database.yml, log/.log, tmp/, .idea, .redcar,

read.table error
R experts, I am working with a fairly large data set comprised of 563 rows by 116 columns including several different modes. I have been unable to read in the data set completely using the read.table function and the RGui (i.e. nearly half the total number of rows are missing from the data set along with the column names). The data does read in fully using Tinn-R's Rterm; however, at several

What's the best way to approach reading and parse large XLSX files?
Hello, I''m developing an app that basically, receives a 10MB or less XLSX files with +30000 rows or so, and another XLSX file with about 200rows, I have to read one row of the smallest file, look it up on the largest file and write data from both files to a new one. I just did a test reading a few rows from the largest file using ROO (Spreadsheet doesn''t support XSLX and

Very bad echo (appears that...)
The echo canceller algorithms aren't doing anything. We get extreme echo during the conversation, it appears even before the call connects, the echo is there... This only happens with SIP to/from WCFXO (analog POTS). Looking at the Zaptel configuration: /etc/asterisk/zapata.conf: echocancel=yes echocancelwhenbridged=yes rxgain=0.8 txgain=0.8 (although none of the above options
