rw-devices patch for rsyncing block devices
Hi, I rebased rw-devices patch for rsync last weekend. Seems to me it works "incrementally". Attached are * six git commits, or * one complete patch on top of current development rsync branch (master branch commit 60ef39705797c9df7069297eb4ed5feab5e88f29). bobek:/data/soft/rsync/rsync# dd if=/dev/urandom of=/dev/mapper/vg-pokus1 dd: writing to `/dev/mapper/vg-pokus1': No

The patch write-devices.diff (rw-devices.diff) fix
Hello, I faced the problem of synchronization block devices and found the patch write-devices.diff by Darryl Dixon, that went trough this mailing list http://lists.samba.org/archive/rsync/2009-October/024037.html Unfortunately the patch was one flaw for me. It doesn't improve performance of synchronization. When I tried to test it using something like: ./rsync

rsync 3.0.2 with --fileflags on FreeBSD: cannot rsync hardlinked immutable files
Hi *, it seems rsync with --fileflags isn't able to work on (already) hardlinked and immutable ("schg") files on FreeBSD. The following scripts will create a simple example for this behaviour: -------------------------------------------------------------- #! /bin/sh # # set -x DIR="/var/tmp/rsync_$(date +%s)/" mkdir "${DIR}/" # Preparing dir_A mkdir

[PATCH node] iscsi remote root basework This lays most of the groundwork for iscsi installation and configuration. At this time configuring iscsi is disabled due to multiple issues with dependent pieces.
- dracut does not currently support booting a dmsquash file system on an iscsiroot - can not be configured in standalone mode since networking is not up, although works fine if ovirt-config-setup is run once booted.
