segfault - (imap|pop3)-login during nessus scan
We've been struggling with a problem for the past couple of days which to this point I've only gotten to be able to boil down to this: 1. Install nessus home edition (less pluggins I assume) 2. run all scans (sequentially or in parallel, doesn't seem to matter) 3. about 3 minutes in /var/log/messages will show segfaults on imap and/or pop3 imap-login[22185]: segfault at

Asterisk 11 SRTP: unsupported crypto parameters: UNENCRYPTED_SRTCP
Hi All, I have Asterisk 11 talking to Avaya over SIP trunk using TLS and SRTP. On incoming calls from Avaya asterisk complains of 'unsupported crypto parameters: UNENCRYPTED_SRTCP' and rejects the call with '488 Not acceptable here' Doesn't Asterisk support UNENCRYPTED_SRTCP as crypto parameters in sdp? FYI SDP looks like this. v=0 o=- 1429194215 1 IN IP4 XX.XX.XX.XX s=-

Using attachment_dir with plugin zlib corrupt mails
Hello: I have found the same problem reported above by Patrick Cernko affecting our system and corrupting our messages. Even worse, Outlook 2016 will no synchronize and the clients cannot see any message, even if there is only one corrupted mail per mailbox. I cannot figure out a feasible workaround for our system, and I can see that in new version 2.38 the bug is not fixed. Will

Samba 2.2.5 - Swat Died
I upgraded this morning to 2.2.5 on both my Linux boxes (Red Hat 7.3) and now SWAT doesn't work. I have it setup to start on a reboot and I've tried force turning it off and then turning it back on. I can't even connect on the actual Linux box, let alone the Windows machines that I used to be able to connect with. I get that the connection was 'broken' for port 901. What can I

Samba 4.10.7 question with external DNS Server
I think his question was. Is there a way to convert flatfile to samba-AD dns. As far i know, not, but that should be pretty easy to script. SIP 603 Declined error message
I have a SIP trunk from my Asterisk server to an Avaya CM server. If I place calls inbound, everything works fine. If I place calls outbound, originating from the Asterisk box, everything works fine (I have done this with the use of the .call files). If I setup an extension with the findme-followme feature and have it try to hair-pin a call back out the same trunk to the Avaya, I get a

Convert "RDX" and "RDB" to ASCII format?
Dear R users and experts, I need to modify an exisiting R function from a package. The function/ variable is inside a namespace and I have problems accessing it. I only need to get access to to corresponding sourcecode. I localised the "RDX" and "RDB" files. But it seems to be a binary format. How can I convert it to an ASCII format to open and extract the code from a text

Is it safe to go from CentOS6.5 to CentOS 7 at this time
I am looking for opinions and personal experience on CentOS7 for both grid and virtualized web environments. I am currently on CentOS6.5 in a production environment. I am about to add about 50 more servers to my grid and am trying to identify the advantages and disadvantages of going to CentOS7. The good part is, that I have some tolerance for backing out and installing CentOS6.5 if 7 does not

Rsync with direct I/O
As far as I can tell rsync doesn't support this. How hard would it be to implement this? Is it trivial enough to just change the calls in the code with sed? I think this can significantly reduce CPU usage and increase I/O speed when dealing with fast storage solutions. It can make a huge difference when say transferring 30TB of data. Here are some tests I did. So far the only thing I know

[PATCH] One more -x to not traverse cyclic bind-mounts
This patch allows one to repeat the '-x' option a third time to stop rsync from traversing potentially cyclic bind mounts that are on the same filesystem. For example, the following scenario would cyclically traverse the bind mounts until the OS (Linux in this case) hits a maximum traversal count, thank goodness. Other OSes may traverse the bind mount indefinitely... su cd mkdir

cpuid() fails on Syslinux 4
Hey, Gert reported me that cpuidtest.c32 reports weird stuff. After looking at it, I found a potential bug when the cpu vendor isn't detected from an exisiting list. That will be easy to fix, that's not the purpose of this mail. When investigating why the vendor was wrong, I found that a very old commit in the 4.0 branch generates unexpected results when calling cpuid(). This commit
