sftp SSH2_FXP_SYMLINK argument order
Reading 6.10 Dealing with Symbolic links in
http://www.openssh.org/txt/draft-ietf-secsh-filexfer-02.txt it seems to
say that the first argument ('linkpath') specifies the name of the
symlink file to create. ("linkpath' specifies the path name of the
symlink to be created").
However, sftp-server.c:process_symlink() seems to reverse this.
I.E. the first argument

Correction to PR #9631 (PR#9632)
Full_Name: Jeff Hallman
Version: 2.4.1
OS: Linux
Submission from: (NULL) (132.200.32.34)
When I filed this a few minutes ago, I left off the rewritten read.ssd(). I've
included it at the end this time.
read.ssd() invokes PROC COPY to create an xport file, but PROC COPY has some
annoying limitations that read.ssd() should deal with. The first is that PROC
COPY doesn't work with member

"linkfile not having link" occurrs sometimes after renaming
There are two users u1 & u2 in the cluster. Some files are created by u1,
and they are read only for u2. Of course u2 can read these files. Later
these files are renamed by u1. Then I switch to the user u2. I find that u2
can't list or access the renamed files. I see these errors in log:

Read SAS data
Hi!
I need to import in R some SAS dataset (sas7bdat). I found two functions to
do it:
"read.ssd" from the package "foreign" and "sas.get" from "Hmisc".
df = read.ssd(libname = path2data, sectionnames = "sasSmallDataset",
tmpXport = path2data, tmpProgLoc = path2data, sascmd = path2sas)
sas.get(libraryName = path2data, member =

Glimmix and glm
Hello.
Some months age an e-mail was posted in which a comparison between Glimmix
and glm was discussed. I have not been able to find that e-mail on the R
archive. Does anyone recall the date of the above e-mail?
Thank you very much.

R- License
Hello. We are trying to install R on our network, and I wanted to ask if
there is a user license agreement. I will be grateful if somebody can send
me a link to it; if one exists.
Thank you very much

Optim and likelihood computations
Hello everyone.
I want to write some likelihood functions to use with optim. For example
AR-structures, I have written a couple of functions that appear to get the
job done. But, since I am new to R, I wanted to ask if there are any
references in this topic.
Thanks in advance,

4 important bugs again <;
hello everyone,
thanks to todd 1.2.21 is out :)
every release getting better, i would like to get
consensus on these "important" bugs:
#252078 logtail: should depend on perl >= 5.8
sarge as any other modern linux distro use perl 5.8.x,
it's even inside of its base.
backports are under the peril of its author
if no one voices up, i'll close that bug in the next days.

question about read.ssd function
Hi there,
I am trying to read SAS dataset into R and have observed some weird behaviors.
Here is my setting. I copied retail.sas7bdat from sashelp and placed it in my test directory C:\Temp.
In R, I submitted the following command
>read.ssd("C:/Temp", "retail", sascmd="C:/Program Files/SAS/SASFoundation/9.2/sas.exe")
The data has been read correctly. But when
