Test snapshot
I have just tarred up a snapshot and uploaded it to:
http://www.mindrot.org/misc/openssh/openssh-SNAP-20000823.tar.gz
The snapshot incorporates the last month's fixes and enhancements from
the openssh-unix-dev mailing list and from the OpenBSD developers.
In particular:
- ssh-agent and ssh-add now handle DSA keys. NB. this does not interop
with ssh.com's ssh-agent. (Markus Friedl)

rsync server over SSH [includes code patches]
Hi Folks --
I've recently had the need to add a piece of functionality to rsync
that allows one to run 'rsync --daemon' (rsync in "rsync server" mode)
over SSH. My main goal was to be able to use some of the features
from rsyncd.conf(5) (notably modules) while still using SSH for
authentication and network transport.
Background: I wanted to have the capability of setting

Time out for a R Function
Hello Group,
I have an R-function that works fine for most part but sometime runs into a
long loop! (I'm lazy and short on time to debug right now so want to do
something easy)
For my purpose, it is ok to make few errors .... is there a way I can put a
timeout on a function and the r-process needes to move on to the next step?
Thank you.

deadlock in rsync protocol on AUTHREQD
Hi all,
I just ran into a problem with rsync-2.6.0. Communication is
between two Linux hosts. One host boots, detects the first, runs
rsync to copy all data, and then shuts down again (to have a
backup for the main server).
In the environment during boot, in which rsync is running in
client mode, neither USER nor LOGNAME variables are set. In this
case, authenticate.c:auth_client gets passed

Broken thread Safe connection Management on Mysql (Mysql too many connections errors)
Hi,
There is an issue on socket connection with backgroundrb (rev 47) and
mysql backend: after a certain number of job you reach the mysql
connection limit as socket are never closed and nobody can connect to
mysql anymore till you stop the backgroundrb daemon.
Already reported on:

QueryParser and prefixes
Hi all,
My app uses prefixes for user-defined labels and directory names.
Since these are
case-sensitive, I chose XLABEL and XDIR respectively. Labels and directories
may start with an upper-case, so a ":" is always inserted between the
prefix and the
term itself. These prefixes are mapped with add_boolean_prefix to
"dir" and "label".
Let's imagine I index a

now I really may have a problem, yuck
Morning,
Well I ordered a Windows Server 2008 Standard for a need around here and
after just spending an hour with Dell support (nice fellow, not his fault)
I find that now the 2008 Server is too *new* for the Samba NT4 PDC model.
I got this box joined fine with my domain, but any time I try to log
into it over RDP, and the new box authenticates with samba (and samba
talks to OpenLDAP) the box

PRIO and TBF is much better than HTB??
Hello mailing list,
i stand bevor a mystery and cannot explain it J. I want to do shaping and
prioritization and I have done these following configurations and
simulations. I canĀ“t explain, that the combination of PRIO and TBF is much
better than the HTB (with the prio parameter) alone or in combination with
the SFQ.
Here are my example configurations: 2 Traffic Classes http (80 = 0x50) and

Matches estimate varies with sorting method
Hi all,
I found that the figure returned by MSet::get_matches_estimated() varies
depending on how results are to be sorted.
For instance, in my index, value 4 contains date and time in the format
"yyyymmddhhmmss". For the same query, the number of results will be
estimated to 20000+ when results are first sorted by date and time
with set_sort_by_value_then_relevance(4) and to only 100

idmap_ad Integration with Windows 2003 pre-R2
Is then new idmap_ad module capable of getting uid/gid info from a Windows 2003 AD pre-R2 with RFC2307 Unix Identity Mapping Extensions applied?
Also, is the correct syntax for specifying the schema_mode as follows:
idmap config dom.example.com:schema_mode = rfc2307
(I am not confident that I am reading the idmap_ad manpage and the new idmap document correctly.)
Thanks for the help,
