Sorting Data Frame Without Loop
Hello all! I am currently trying to sort a data frame in a particular way, but I am having some difficulties with this. Specifically I want to sort the below dataset in such a way that there is only one line per ProteinID and if there are multiple GeneID or GeneName entries for a single proteinID, that they be concatenated with a comma separating them. The way I have done it earlier worked fine

rsync reports "some files could not be transferred" (code 23) when problems occur with password-file
Hi all, I think I just found a small bug in rsync... It has costed me about half an hour searching for a problem which actually didn't exist! If you use rsync like this: > rsync --password-file=/tmp/non-existing-file /tmp/somefile foo@bar::tmp/ Rsync will ask for the password since the supplied file doesn't exist: > rsync: could not open password file

rsync error: some files could not be transferred (code 23) at main.c
I am using rsync to backup a machine with a large number of files, and I am getting this error. It would be helpful to know which files this is occuring with, to diagnose the problem. Is there a configuration option to rsync (that I may have missed) that will reveal this info. Alternatively, is there a source code patch that I could apply to rsync in order to find out? Thanks for any help Jon

some files vanished before they could be transferred
Hi, I am getting "rsync warning: some files vanished before they could be transferred (code 24) at main.c(1039) [sender=3.0.6]" now frequently but while using rsync version 2.6, I used to get it rarely. Any idea would be helpful on why rsync 3.0.6 is throwing this warning frequently. Jignesh. -------------- next part -------------- HTML attachment scrubbed and removed

Unable to access AD with ADExplorer
Hi, I have a test AD running Samba on Ubuntu that I sometimes poke with Sysinternal's ADExplorer. A few days ago I tried connecting to it, but got a short reply of "The directory service is not available." As it was working earlier, I tried finding the problem. After installing a few older releases, I found that it was working on Ubuntu 17.04, Samba 4.5.8 and stopped working on

Samba 4.2.x requiring TLS authentication
Hi everyone, I have installed a Samba AD DC version 4.2.11-20 in a Centos 6.7 machine and joined it in an existing domain. Everything seems working fine except I can't bind to it using LDAP simple authentication. When I try to perform a simple ldapsearch I get the following response: ldap_bind: Strong(er) authentication required (8) additional info: BindSimple: Transport encryption required.

Failed to bind to uuid ???
What Samba version are you using? I have seen a similar problem triggered by connectivity issues between the DCs. What's the output from samba-tool drs showrepl? Still, I haven't found a solution...
