The result is that the system will only store one copy of the unique contents of each file, regardless of the file's name. I've added the options --min-age=SECONDS and --max-age=SECONDS to allow rsync to skip files based on how recently they were modified. Setting --min-age=30 (for example) would cause rsync to skip files that had been modified within the last 30 seconds. Setting --max-age=7776000 would cause rsync to skip files that had been modified more than 90 days ago (7776000 == 60*60*24*90). I realize

This patch adds a switch --fat-filenames which replaces all characters that aren't legal on FAT filesystems with an underscore. This is the first time I touch the rsync code, so I may not be going about it the right way, but it seems to be working. Naturally there's some potential for collisions, but it's probably better than what happens currently (such files are simply not copied).
