[PATCH] Add a cache for iconv_t handles to hive_t
It was brought to my attention that dumping a registry hive causes a lot of time spent in disk I/O activity because iconv_open() and iconv_close() are called for every key. Every iconv_open() call causes /usr/lib/.../gconv/$ENCODING.so to be opened and mapped. The iconv_t handles are now cached in the hive_h struct; they are opened on-demand and re-used. On my ~10 year old Lenovo T60, I have

TableGen: spring cleaning, new features for "functional programming"
Hi all, While working on some features for the AMDGPU backend -- specifically, explicit address components for image intrinsics, which involves generating both (a) a lot of intrinsics with different but somewhat regular parameter types, and (b) the patterns to select instructions for those intrinsics -- I got fed up with a lot of the TableGen bugs and limitations and set out to fix things.

Rsync iconv (Cygwin) (file has vanished)
I have another question. I'm not sure if this is the correct post for cygwin rsync related questions. I've compiled rsync 3.0.0pre8 under cygwin. Works splendidly and compiles cleanly. I made sure to have libiconv installed and it supports the --iconv command (at least it accepts it). I've been using rsync to test a backup of some files from a windows box to a linux box. I use
