rsync with --exclude files
HI,
I'm trying to exclude some files & directories from a filesystem which I
would like to copy to a different site. I did:
# rsync -avz --exclude-file=/fs21/tmp/perl_scripts/exclude.txt
/fs22/a/circuit_design mickey.willow.com:/cpu/store/design
where file /fs21/tmp/perl_scripts/exclude.txt contains the following
directories and files to be excluded from /fs22/a/circuit_design :

[PATCH v4] v2v: don't fail when virtio-win does not have qemu-ga
This is why I shouldn't program before lunchtime ...
v2 & v3 omitted gettext (‘f_()’) annotations around the warning and
error strings. Fixed in this version.
My cover letter for v2 still applies here.
Rich.

Sorry, there was a small mistake in v2 of the patch. The difference
between v2 & v3 is below. All my other comments in the cover letter
of v2 also apply here.

[PATCH v2] v2v: don't fail when virtio-win does not have qemu-ga
This is my version of this patch which I think improves it in a number
of ways. Firstly instead of having the bare boolean parameter
‘ok_if_missing’ we pass in the function we want to call along the
directory missing path.
This change then allows us to print a more useful error or warning
message given the context of the call, and the new message is
actionable too, so the user knows what has to

Linux integration with AD
Hi All,
I extended my AD schema (SFU 3.5) and migrated the users and groups from my
NIS domain.
The groups migrated from the NIS have the same GID like on the NIS.
I added linux machines to my AD domain using windbind, and define on the
smb.conf "idmap gid = 10000-20000".
I logged in using my AD user account, and when I'm doing "id", I see that
all the AD groups

rsync on stand alone winXP
Hi,
I want to use rsync in my project that take increment image of files. This is for windowsXP and vista(stand alone) on localhost no need to use on network.
I have following dll and exe::
- rsync.exe
- cygwin1.dll
- cygpopt-0-dll
- rsync-param.reg
Now in services.msc I am seeing "rsync" service. I have started that also
and set in logon tab as "LocalComputer".
