[LLVMdev] Redefining function
Hi everybody.
I've just started learning about LLVM and didn't get too far studying the
core.
I couldn't find the solution to my problem (if it has one) in the mailing
list or the source code. The problem is: how can I redefine a function
that's been called already by some other function?
Suppose I have 3 files, all compiled to bytecode through llvm-gcc (I think
it could be clang

[LLVMdev] Compile units in debugging intrinsics / globals
I have a question about the llvm debugging records, especially wrt compile
units.
In the non-LLVM sense, a compile unit is essentially everything contained
within a single .o file, and it is derived from one or more source and
header files. Included in a compile unit are functions and global data.
Dwarf records refer to compile units in the same way: a compile unit record
has children which

error bar position setting
Hi,
I am using R on Windows XP.
I am using 'arrows' funtion to plot the variance as error bar, BUT error
bar goes only one side of the data point, I need to plot the error bar on
both side of the data point (plot is attached), I am using following
commands to plot,
plot(file3$lat,file3$STotwoKm,pch=21,cex=2.5,ylim=c(-0.2,2.5),xlim=c(-50,50),xlab=NA,ylab=NA,

readLines fails to read entire file
Colleagues
I have just encountered an interesting problem with readLines in R
2.7.0 in Windows Vista. I am trying to read a line that is created in
the following manner:
1. Intel Fortran (ifort) 10.1 creates two text files.
2. The OS concatenates these files with: copy FILE1 +FILE2 FILE3
From R, I execute: readLines("FILE3")
Only the first portion of the file (the original

Doubts on incremental backup and command repetition
Hi,
I am trying to use rsync for incremental backup and I am facing some issues. I would like to ask your help to understand what is going on and have the proper command line.
1) my goal is
I the following folders:
./dest:
file3.txt
./orig:
file1.txt file10.txt file2.txt file20.txt
And I would like to have as incremental backup

[PATCH v2] xfstests: btrfs/316: cross-subvolume sparse copy
This testscript creates reflinks to files on different subvolumes,
overwrites the original files and reflinks, and moves reflinked files
between subvolumes.
Originally submitted as testcase 302, changes are made based on comments
from Eric: http://oss.sgi.com/archives/xfs/2013-03/msg00231.html
Two new common/rc functions used in this script (_require_cp_reflink and
_verify_reflink) have been

Utility function to rotate log files?
I am wondering if there is a CRAN package that includes a utility
function that will "rotate" file names, in the same sense that
operating systems sometimes rotate log files. Or maybe there's
something in base R.
That is, we have a set of file names, say file1, file2, file3, and
when the function is called, file3 is deleted, file2 is renamed
file3, file1 is renamed file2, and

to remove columns and rows
Dear,
I am using R I'm trying to identify and remove columns and rows in a data
frame that are has elements equals. For example in dataframe below. The
columns 1, 2,3,4,5 ,6 and 10 (file1) has elements equal then should be
removed. How can I ask R to remove those columns with same elements in new
dataframe (file2) to result a matrix as follows:
file1

rsync in conjunction with the --link-dest option does not output deleted files
Hi,
I want to use rsync to make daily backups using hard-links in this way:
rsync -av --delete --link-dest=../backup_old ./source/. ./backup_new
This works great, but the problem is, that rsync does not show correctly
what action it performs (-v option). It shows correctly all new and
changed files/folders, but it does not show files that were deleted.
This works only if I do not use the

Deletion of destination files
Hi to all rsync users.
rsync's `--delete' option works fine in the following example: I'm sending all
the content of /home/rodolfo from machine1 to /home/rodolfo in machine2:
$ rsync --dry-run -vrtul --delete --exclude='/.*' . 192.168.0.2:/home/rodolfo
, and --delete works perfectly. Instead, in this other example:
$ rsync --dry-run -vrt --delete --modify-window=1 file1

Playing with ReadFileScatter()
Hi all,
Looking at the IO.readlines source in io.c, it looks to me like they
grab 8k chunks, split on the input record separator, and buffer accordingly.
Since it looks like ReadFileScatter() does some of that work
automatically (in page file sized chunks), I thought I''d give it a try.
Here''s what I''ve got, but it doesn''t work. I have an incorrect parameter

How to loop on file names
Dear all,
I need to do the same procedure on several files. But I don't know how
to refer to the file name.
Here is an example of what I am trying to do.
List of files: file1(A,B,C, D1...Dn), file2(A,B,C,E1,...,En),
file3(A,B,C,F1,...,Fn)
Procedure I want to apply on each file:
dft <- melt(df,id=c('A','B','C'))
dft$X <- substr(dft$variable,1,3)
dft$Y <-

Incremental backup and empty dirs
Hi,
I use rsync with such options:
OPTIONS="-a -u -z -v -S --delete-during --ignore-errors \
-b --backup-dir=${PATH_BACKUP}/${DATE_YESTERDAY} \
--exclude-from=$IGNORE"
rsync $OPTIONS ${PATH_SRC} \
${PATH_BACKUP}/current
Everything works as it should be, deleted files are transfered everyday
to a new catalog, determinated by a variable ${DATE_YESTERDAY}.

\include-mechanism in Sweave?
Dear HelpeRs,
I'm very fond of Sweave and I use it as often as possible. It'a a pity
I can't use it for larger projects or can I?
For instance suppose I have three files file1.rnw, file2.rnw and
file3.rnw with Sweave code. Working on file2.rnw I whould like to
exclude file1.rnw and file3.rnw temporarily and joining all of them
later. This amounts to a mechanism similar to using

[LLVMdev] Migrate Project Build system to LLVM BitCode
Hi All,
I am migrating a build system of an existing project from 'Object files' based executable generation to 'LLVM Bitcode' files based exe generation and applying OPT pass to LLVM Bitcode. I found out the following 4 step procedure. Please let me know if this is the right procedure or is there any other easy way of doing it. I need to modify 'Makefile' accordingly. I

Standard deviation for each element in a set of matrices
Hello R-users,
I would like to know how to find the standard deviation for each element
in a set of matrices.
Given the following files,
File1 File2 File3
1 1 1 4 4 4 7 7 7
2 2 2 5 5 5 8 8 8
3 3 3 6 6 6 9 9 9
I want to calculate the standard deviation for every cell in the file
(I'm using gridded data). The desired output is
