rsync not running on IA64
I have built rsync on IA64 using Intel's 'icc' compiler and can run the rsync executable interactively but when attempting to run under 'crontab' I get the following error: + /home/horace/mccssmb2/src/rsync-2.6.9/rsync -z --partial -v --progress --recursive --stats --times --links --exclude-from=/project/horace/mcc101/.rsync-EXCLUDE --timeout=1200 /project/horace/mcc101

Hi Christophe, >>> Apparently, this depends on the oddly-named UnitAtATime parameter. Set it to false. Try again. help required for passing parameters to rsync within a script
I'm attempting to write a short script to copy all 'CONC*' files in any subdir under ./ using rsync and filters but I can't get the correct quoting/escaping... any ideas? eg cmd line (all on a single line): /home/horace/mccssmb2/src/rsync-2.6.9__icc/rsync --times --links -z --progress --stats -v -rP --filter='+ */' --filter='+ CONC*' --filter='- *' .

R CMD check, NOTEs, & S4-dependent packages
As I was running "R CMD check" on one of my older packages (matlab), I was attempting to fix one of the NOTEs which bitches about attempting to change the search path using require(). In my case, I am repeating a package dependency for "methods" package in my .onLoad() function. Can this scenario (based on something B. Ripley discussed many years ago) no longer occur? Just

adding packages R 2.14.0
Well, I was able to build R 2.14.0 on my Solaris x86 machine, with a lot of work and some help. Thanks! At first the update.packages() would not work because some of the .so files that came with R were 32 - not 64 bit. I was able to install them and so now the update.packages() works. I still have a couple of issues: 1) a lot of packages are not available for R 2.14.0. 2) When compiling I

logon home with ldap under win98
Hello, I hope this is the correct place for this mail... I have found that samba-2.2.3a (--with-ldapsam) gives the correct logon home for win2k, but not for win98. Obviously the two systems request the information in a different way. For win98 machines, in lanman.c, the information is taken only from smb.conf, and not from ldap (or other backends). I have attached a small patch that yields

Web Streaming project for GSoC
Hello, In the following months, I am participating in the Google Summer of Code (GSoC). My project evolves around improving web streaming for open media formats and is mentored by Conrad Parker. The goal of the project is to write a FastCGI module that accepts ranged requests for smaller segments of media resources, using the liboggz library to perform the actual Ogg crunching. There are a lot of

Unix Extensions + ext3 quotas + df
Hi, Some time ago, I reported an issue (1) regarding to the "disk free" to Quotas mapping when Unix Extensions are enabled. The issue still persists in RHEL 5.3 (samba-3.0.33-3.7.el5). In the meanwhile I have found a workaround via the attached *ugly* patch, but an official solution would be appreciated. Best regards, Juanjo (1)

[LLVMdev] [llvm-commits] [PATCH][RFC] Add extra arguments to TargetLowering::LowerCall() so targets have more context in which to construct call chains
In response to this discussion, I've prepared the attached patch as an initial prototype for the LowerCall/LowerCallTo change. All of the information currently needed by the back-ends, and the extra information needed by the NVPTX back-end, is now wrapped in a CallLoweringInfo struct. The various SelectionDAG classes have been modified so any calls to TargetLowering::LowerCallTo use this

rsynd-2.5.1 / io.c patches
Platform: Compaq OpenVMS Alpha 7.3 Compiler: Compaq C T6.5 The following patch resolves compile problems with the IO.C module. The (char) type was being used where (void) was more appropriate based on the actual use of the code. The (char) type was also being used where the usage was actually an (unsigned char). const qualifiers were added to improve compile efficiency. EAGLE> type

--delete-sent-files (AKA --move-files)
Yes, it's time once again to return to the subject of moving files. With the recent changes to the communications code between the receiver and the generator, there is now a non-clogging channel that we can use to signal the sender when a file has been successfully transferred, which allows us delete the original for all transferred files. I have in the past waffled on whether this feature

[LLVMdev] [llvm-commits] [PATCH][RFC] Add extra arguments to TargetLowering::LowerCall() so targets have more context in which to construct call chains
Thanks. This is going in the right direction IMHO. Obviously, please make sure you add comments to the data structure and convert all the targets first. Also, please don't forget to send an email to llvmdev to warn owners of all the out-of-tree targets about the ABI change.
