Hello everyone. I'm having a problem with convert-tool while trying to convert mbox folders to maildir. I'm running dovecot-1.1.16 on Centos 5.3 If the user has subfolders, convert-tool fails saying: "Mailbox conversion: Couldn't create mailbox sub/folder3: Invalid mailbox name" However, if I ran the convert-tool with the same arguments and same folders with dovecot

I followed the steps in this guide: https://wiki.samba.org/index.php/Samba4/HOWTO/Join_a_domain_as_a_DC I followed the steps and everything worked fine for me. but... If I make changes on the PDC, these changes are replicated to the Secondary DC, but if I make changes to the Secondary, these are not seen in the PDC. Is there any way

PROBLEM WITH PRINTERS.
Hi people, I have a print server using Debian, LPRNG and SAMBA working without any problems. Now I 'm trying to set up a new server with CentOS 6, CUPS and SAMBA. It 's a very simple setup: a few local users and a few printers, nothing special. The clients also map the printer using 'net use lpt1 \\mainserver\printerX' because they need to print over an old DOS application.

Force destination files to specific owner/group
Folks-- I'm working with an old system I set up to copy files from one local directory to another. I was using rdist for this, but I would prefer to shift it over to rsync. The one thing I'm missing is the trivial ability to force the group owernship of the destination files to a specific group. A read through the manpage and various searches on the web do not turn up any helpful hints

CentOS6 LDAP Authentication.
Hi! I can make ldap authentication to work using LDAPS in CentOS 6. On CentOS 5, I just simply set tls_cheekpeer no to /etc/ldap.conf and it works! I tried all /etc/nslcd.conf /etc/pam_ldap.conf /etc/openldap/ldap.conf It 's really confusing on CentOS 6. Why so many files???? CentOS 5 LDAPTLS_REQCERT=never ldapsearch -x -H ldaps://xxxx (works!) CentOS 6 LDAPTLS_REQCERT=never ldapsearch -x

[RFC] VSOCK: add support for MSG_PEEK
Hi Matias, thanks for this patch! Since this patch only concerns virtio_transport, I'd use the 'vsock/virtio' prefix in the commit title: "vsock/virtio: add support for MSG_PEEK" Some comments below: On Sun, Sep 22, 2019 at 05:48:27PM +0000, Matias Ezequiel Vara Larsen wrote: > This patch adds support for MSG_PEEK. feature request: "remote user is root, make remote owner is foo"
I often push files from my user account over SSH to my web server, and want them owned by www-user, which may not have a login shell, should never accept remote logins, and who may not have a ~/.ssh directory (and if it did, it would be under the wwwroot, ack!). Currently I push as root and then do a chmod, but isn't there a better way? While I'm doing this, the files are temporarily

Installing to a prefix.
Is it possible to install Asterix (and libpri) to prefix like /usr/local/ so it won't place non-managed-by-my-distro files on /etc, /usr, /var, etc ? Thanks. -- Jos? Pablo Ezequiel Fern?ndez

Realtime and database structure
Is there any official structure for the tables for doing realtime sip and extensions ? I see there's a big (big in lot's of fields) on http://www.voip-info.org/tiki-index.php?page=Asterisk+RealTime+Sip and I've seen other partial tables in other places. Thanks. -- Jos? Pablo Ezequiel Fern?ndez

shared folders in v1.2 with one uid per user
Hello everyone. I'm new to dovecot and I'm setting up a server for one domain only. I have not yet decided whether I will be using one uid per user or one uid for all of them. What are the steps for correctly setting up shared folders with acls if I choose one uid per user? What advantages or disadvantages has setting one uid for all users vs one uid per user, considering I wish to

LAYOUT=fs vs LAYOUT=maildir++ and quota
Hi everyone. I'm confused about LAYOUT=fs... Does using LAYOUT=fs breaks maildir++ quota, if I use this quota scheme? What are the advantages anyway of using LAYOUT=fs vs LAYOUT=maildir++ ? (it's not important in my case if users can't create folders with dots '.') Thanks in advance, Ezequiel

PBX <-> AST <-> AST <-> PBX
Im trying to come up with a cost effective way to unite two PBX using VOIP. My idea is that since most companys here (Argentina) are not ready cough up the money to go to full-fledged VOIP, they might be willing to pay for a hybrid-solution: a kind of "point-to-point" line using VOIP, which let's them dial an extension on the other PBX.
