Problems accessing shares with dollar signs
I'm having various problems accessing shares with dollar signs in
their names (e.g., \\server\c$); however, there doesn't seem to be
much consistency to the types of problems.
Details:
>From my CentOS 4.3 box running Samba 3.0.21b, mounting \\server\data$
(a Windows Server 2003 DC) or \\domain\data$ (the same share, shared
over DFS) using mount.cifs doesn't give any errors, and I

Huge number
Hi,
I'm trying to calculate p-value to findout definitely expressed genes
compare A to B situation.
I got this data(this is a part of data) from whole organism , and each
number means each expression values (that means, we could think 'a' gene
is 13 in A situation, and it turns 30 in B situation)
To findout probability, I'm going to use Audic - Claverie Method. ( The

I have set up a Fedora Core 3 machine with Samba 3.0.9 to act as a PDC file and print server. Everything works fine but I am having problems adding new machine accounts. auth_default_realm for different listeners
We provide POP3 service for several realms, each of which has a substantial
number of users logging in with no realm (bare username). We would like to
use Dovecot, but I haven't been able to findout how to vary
auth_default_realm for each listener.
My most recent attempt was to set up one auth {} block for each realm with a
different auth_default_realm and socket master path. I then set up

How to dynamically replace the text behind dollar sign: '$'

For example:
function(dataframe, argument="ANYTHING I WANT")
{
return(dataframe$argument)
}
Even though I know there must be lots of possible alternative ways to do this, I

Where is cached memory going?
As by the time, I've learned that Linux works by caching apps by using a lot
of RAM and then it reallocates the new stuff by cleaning the old cached
pages from memory as compared to other OSs. With 2 gigs of RAM often I see
the free memory only as 100-400MB. Using TOP or PS, it doesn't look like any
program or process is using excessive memory (the highest process is seen
with 1-2% total

need help formating plot axis to standard dollar formats
I create a lot of plots with a dollar amount as the y-axis. How do I change the formatting so comma and $ are in place. Like $1000,000 or to use common dollar abbreviations like 100K?

Converting dollar value (factors) to numeric
Hi,
I'm trying to read in a bunch of CSV files into R where many columns are
coded like $111.11. When reading them in they are treated as factors.
I'm wondering if there is an easy way to convert them into numeric in R
(as I don't want to modify the source data)? I've done some searches
and can't seem to find an easy way to do this.
I apologise if this is a trivial

FW: G.726 on Asterisk 1.4.0
Ok,
With everything restore on rtp.c, still I have no audio however the call is
not destroyed immediately as before.
I'm going to put a second Granstream box, and findout if between two boxes
this happen too.
I cannot believe that we cannot do 2 g726 on the same box at one time.

V0.8.0 Problems
Tim, et al,
I have run into several problems with V0.8.0. I will address them seperately.
1. My compiler is complaining about the following code in celt.c which seems to define metric first as celt_word32, then as celt_word16. Am I mis-interpreting something?
?? VARDECL(celt_word32, metric);
?? ALLOC(metric, len, celt_word16);
Thx
