Reception of vocal SMSs to landlines.
Hi all, we face a problem with SMS reception sended to _landlines_, at least in France. Normally operators -tested with France Telecom and SFR- are sending voice SMSs from a particular CID number, so no problem. But today we discover that -at least SFR- send from time to time voice SMSs with original callerID which means that the call is terminated like a normal call and not recognized as

SMS using a PRI channel
Hi, I have some experience in sending SMSs using smsclient. I call the german Vodafone SMSC (01722278020), and smsclient takes approx 20 secs to send a SMS. The hardware is an Sedlbauer ISDN card. Now, I want to do the same using asterisk and a digium PRI card. I dialed using the manager with: action: originate channel: Zap/g4/01722278020 ... I assumed, the call will fail, because the remote

How to deal with voice SMS - Asterisk 1.4
Hi list, I face a problem with voice SMSs. In some countries, if you send an SMS to a landline number, the mobile operator will record the message and then call this number. When picking up the phone you hear "You get an SMS from <phone number>, press 1 to listen the message, 2 to repeat the sender phone number". If you press 1 you hear the message and after it you have the

Errors attaching VBDs to dom0 VM
Hi, I''ve been touring XCP and making my way around it for the last few days, and am having problems with some reasonably straightforward actions. I''ve poured a several hours into different ways of resolving the issue, but am coming up short. Here''s the main issue. The following command (plugging in a VBD to the dom0 VM), when, run, hangs for several minutes, and then

SMS Service over SIP/IAX/h323/MCGP
The problem I have had with many SMS email gateways, is that they do not allow to reply back. Of course, email is a superior service over SMS, but does not really replace it ( - at least not until all the mobile phones have email access on them...). It would be nice if the SMS service would be available not only on GSM/GPRS/etc., but also on any telephone number in the world - or at least on

The log snippet doesn''t have the detail in it - have a look in /var/log/SMlog - you might find something more useful in there.
