Problem with NLSYSTEMFIT()
Hello, I want to solve a nonlinear 3SLS problem with "nlsystemfit()". The equations are of the form y_it = f_i(x,t,theta) The functions f_i(.) have to be formulated as R-functions. When invoking "nlsystemfit()" I get the error Error in deriv.formula(eqns[[i]], names(parmnames)) : Function 'f1' is not in the derivatives table

[PATCH v2 1/2] drm/nouveau: Don't enabling polling twice on runtime resume
As it turns out, on cards that actually have CRTCs on them we're already calling drm_kms_helper_poll_enable(drm_dev) from nouveau_display_resume() before we call it in nouveau_pmops_runtime_resume(). This leads us to accidentally trying to enable polling twice, which results in a potential deadlock between the RPM locks and drm_dev->mode_config.mutex if we end up trying to enable polling

syncing from the "file-list" option
Hello, all. I'm a begineer for rsync and please help me. I would like to sync data between two ftp sevrer. If one change/add/delete data usingf ftp, other ftp server should sync from the main ftp servert. In my thought, full data directory syncing is too slow, so if the client uses " --files-from" option, sync speed more fast than full data directory syncing. file list is

Parameter Constraints in nls.lm()
Hello, Is there a possibility of setting parameter constraints in nls.lm() ? The documentation does not say anything on that explicitly. In order to achieve the same effect, the criterion function could be penalized outside the valid domain. Is that a correct procedure? Kind regards, Kilian [[alternative HTML version deleted]]

Error using "White-corrected" Anova (white.adjust="hc3")
Hello. I try to compute a "White-corrected" ANOVA. Therefore I use the command "Anova" implemented in the car()-package): Anova(modelname, white.adjust="hc3") and receive the error message: "Fehler in SS[i] <- SS.term(names[i]) : nichts zu ersetzen" (German) "Error in SS[i] <- SS.term(names[i]) : nothing to replace" (probably being the

Are form_remote_tag and submit_to_remote mutually exclusive?
Do I need to use submit_to_remote in conjunction with or instead of form_remote_tag? The description in the API docs. is confusing. Is the combination of form_tag/submit_to_remote valid? Is the combination of from_remote_tag/submit_tag valid? Thanks, Wes -- Posted via http://www.ruby-forum.com/.

Mutually exclusive test fixtures
Hi all, I''ve got a situation where there are two different states an application can be in - that is, there are certain parts of the data that can never coexist. However, I need to test both circumstances, since they''re both valid. Is there any way of specifying a completely different fixture set for one set of tests while leaving the original fixtures in place for the

Are folder redirection and offline files mutually exclusive?
Been tearing my hair out trying to find out if redirecting my user's automounted home folder is killing offline files availability. We are just now migrating our windows users to win7 (school, limited funding), and while I've got folder redirection working, I also need to make sure offline files work as well for my mobile users. What smb.conf settings are required that will fix this

Mutually exclusive Exim setup instructions
The correct way has to be one or the other: http://wiki.dovecot.org/LDA/Exim are mutually exclusive with http://wiki.dovecot.org/HowTo/DebianStable It appears that exim can either call dovecot's LDA or make the delivery itself. There may be good reasons to do it one way or the other. ---------------------------------------------------------------- Karl Schmidt

[OT] correspondence analysis w/ non-mutually-exclusive ca tegories
Andy, Take a look at Greenacre, Theory and Applications of Correspondence Analysis. He has many example of dealing with all sorts of data. Basically, the technique is relevant for 2-way tables -- MCA is an extenstion. It is not clear in your example whether CA is really appropriate -- you want to make an observation (if at all possible) fall in one cell, treating the others layers as

[OT] correspondence analysis w/ non-mutually-exclusive categories
Greetings, again. This is not strictly an R question, so please feel free to ignore it if you like. My question is about the substance of correspondence analysis. Specifically, is it appropriate to use ca on a matrix of values such that the columns and/or rows are not mutually exclusive? To be more detailed: - The standard use of ca is illustrated in the example of corresp() (from MASS):

How to calculate errors in histogram values
Hi there, I'm new to R but I thought this is the most likely place I could get advice or hints w.r.t the following problem: I have a series of measurements xi with associated uncertainties dxi. I would like to construct the probability density histogram of this data where each density estimate has an associated error that is derived from the dxi. In other words, for large dxi the

varphi symbol for ylab expression
Hi all, it is possible to invoke certain graphical functions (e.g. curve) with an expression argument, e.g. "ylab=expression(phi)". There are some greek letters with a second script. For instance, in latex two symbols do exist: phi and varphi. Is the second symbol also available in an expression()? If yes, how? Kind regards, Kilian

Rsync, subversion and directories
Hi all, I'm attempting to build a backup system using rsync and subversion. I have a samba share which I would like to replicate via rsync. The replicated copy is under subversion control to store a 'history'. This appears to work well until a directory is removed on the primary (non-backup) file system. The rsync command which I assumed would do the job: $ rsyc -zrv
