Dear all, My Problem: I cannot get authorizedkeys2 working such that I do not need to supply a password. My Configuration: A Linux server with OpenSSH2.9p1 and a fixed IP-Address. A Linux client with OpenSSH2.9p1, DHCP based, so altering names, but the hostname is set no to be adjusted to the DHCP-address. So, the canonical hostname is not the same as the one which is

mount /dev/hda6 ext3
Dear all, I followed the instructions found on http://www.zip.com.au/~akpm/linux/ext3/ext3-usage.html to convert / on several of my boxes to ext3. Strange to me, on some boxes it perfectly worked while on others it didn't. One of the differences found is that on the ok-boxes mount reports: /dev/hda3 on / type ext3 (rw,errors=remount-ro) /* Settings: cat /etc/fstab /dev/hda3 / ext3

Bug in truncgof package?
Dear Carlos, Duncan and everyone You may have already sorted the matter by now, but since I have not seen anything posted since Duncan's reply, here I go. I apologize in advance for the spam, if it turns out I've missed some post. I think the test and the implementation of the truncgof package are just fine. I've done Carlos' experiment (repeatedly generating samples and testing

overlay additional axes
Greetings, I am trying to add an extra labled axis in position 3 (top x-axis), with numbers that do not match up with the existing axes. Surely this must be possible, and I am just doing it incorectly. So far I have tried the following: #make a plot plot(TIK, type="l", cex=.25, xlim=c(2,32), ylim=c(0,1600)) #try and add a new axis with different numbers in position 3

OpenSSHd: PATHs in configuration files
Dear all, is it possible to specify the default paths in the appropriate configuration of the Daemon ? If not, wouldn't it make sense to include that feature as the configuration files get parsed anyway ? What do you mean ? config.h.in
Dear developers, today, I cvs'ed the newest openSSH. Unfortunately, the config.h.in file was missing. I copied it from the tar-ball. Was this my fault or a problem in the CVS ? ExitThread won't.
Okay, so with complete lack of any other ideas, I tried to figure out what was wrong with my app (Proxomitron), which is leaving unkillable processes around. So I went into ExitThread, and added something like: DPRINTF("%08lx:Exiting thread...(%d)\n", GetCurrentThreadId(),getpid()); exit(code); right at the top of the function. And, lo and behold, the processId matches the

meta data stored in separate file?
i found a couple messages in the archives relating to backups vs. distribution and ownership issues without root privs that kinda touched on the idea of storing meta info (ownership, modes, acls) in a separate file. has anyone else looked at storing meta data in a side file of some sort? it seems that it could be done all on the client side. send over files with totally plain meta info and
