content on demand?
Hi, Does Icecast support streaming on demand as Shoutcast does? i.e. if I have some MP3 files in a directory, can these be streamed if I link to them on a web page. ACLs, imap and launchd
I was going to experiment with ACLs when I faced a small problem. It is just sufficient to enable the acl plugin for getting the behavior described hereafter. When launching dovecot from the command line, one gets: sh-3.2# /usr/local/dovecot/sbin/dovecot -F ILoading modules from directory: /usr/local/dovecot-1.2.rc6/lib/ dovecot/imap IModule loaded:

[OT] Starting Mongrel on Mac: Launchd or Crontab?
I have some Rails apps I use on my Mac to do brutally stupid stuff like track time and activities. They''re always running, but each time I restart, I (duh) have to restart the Mongrels. Well, I know better than that, right? So I dug around in Google to find out how people are getting Mongrels started using Launchd. There are some detailed posts, but none of them seemed to work. My

puppet with launchd - problem with hostname
Hi, We''re having a problem with our puppet install on our mac''s. We''ve setup a launchd plist following the instructions at: http://projects.puppetlabs.com/projects/puppet/wiki/Puppet_With_Launchd The problem we''re having is that when the mac initially boots, it''s hostname is fubar.local - after the networking starts up, the hostname becomes

Refresh not working with launchd service provider?
Hi, Refresh doesn''t seem to be working with the launched service provider on OS X Lion (10.7.4). I''ve come up with a simple "service" script, plist file and puppet script to apply to demonstrate. The problem. Here''s the shell script which logs an initial starting message and then just loops logging a "Still running…" message.

Problem when using bundle exec rake with Launchd
Dear all, I am developing a web harvesting server which requires regularly website parsing. Since I use Mac 10.8 as my development environment, I try to use Launchd to routinely wake up my parser. My parser was a bash script which has only two lines: 1. cd $HOME/ProjectFolder 2. bundle exec rake dailyTask:dataParse When directly execute the script under Terminal, there is no problem.

scgi and rails startup on OS X Tiger
Is anyone using scgi with their rails app on an OS X machine running Tiger? I found a nice launchd tutorial for lighttpd, but I can''t figure out how to modify it for scgi, and I would like to have the whole mechanism come up on reboot, as this is a production machine. I''d be grateful for any pointers... Shelby

Extension No.s not being received correctly.
We have the following problem with our asterisk system: We have a very long no. 089xxxx3168205 (14 digits) or perhaps minus the 1st 3 digits as that is the area code. Some people are having issues when they phone from certain PABX?s or have to try many times to get through, which is really bad. I have noticed from my mobile this does not occur. pbx*CLI> -- Extension '2' in

LLVM z80 backend and llvm-dis missing?
Inspired by Jason Turner's talk at CppCon 2016: Jason Turner “Rich Code for Tiny Computers: A Simple Commodore 64 Game in C++17” I got interested in writing a Zilog Z80 backend for LLVM. Jason actually did no such thing, but instead wrote a x86-to-6502 translator (reassembler he calls it) https://github.com/lefticus/x86-to-6502 So I'm now trying to bootstrap this project. Goal: - be

Starting using LaunchDaemons
I've figured this one out... Just wanted to get it into the dovecot mailing list archive so that somebody in the future might find it if they need it. Running Dovecot on Mac OS X 10.4.11 and using LaunchDaemon to start. Following a system crash, dovecot failed to restart with this in the system log... No such file or directory - but it is there.
I have a problem when installing applications from a Samba share. I have been using this share for sometime with no problems, but now after installing 3.0.6 I have an issue. Most applications I have work fine, only three are suspect. OfficeXP, will start the install but it stops with the error, installation source has been corrupted. The Samba log show it is looking for the file

Hi. Current host OS: CentOS5.9 Current client OS: Windows XP (all the latest stuff) Current Samba: 3.6.6-0.129.el5 Ever since 3.4 I am having problems with the "/usr/bin/profiles" binary, it does NOT allow me to change a SID within a registry file.
