Feature Request: Options to limit --one-file-system at the source or destination.
Greetings. Currently, the --one-file-system applies to both the source and destination and this is a problem. In my source, I have a symlink pointing to a directory on another device which I would like to have copied. I thus use --copy-unsafe-links. I also use --delete. This is dangerous because if there is a bug in my script, I would not like the destination to become suddenly

overlaid filled contour plots
I'm trying to make a set of contour plots of bivariate kernel density estimates, showing three such plots overlaid, similar to this plot http://euclid.psych.yorku.ca/SCS/Private/Test/ridge-boot2.pdf except that I would like to have the contours *filled* (using transparent colors). To make this reproducible, I've saved the results of KernSmooth::bkde2D() in the following file:

[Fwd: Re: rsync server complaining about vanishing files while they are not.]
Greetings. Yep, I have set "use chroot = no" for the module and it works. The symlinks I have are created automatically by a tool and are absolute. But since "use chroot = no" handles well absolute links from root/, the transfer works A1. Thanks for your input, Wayne. file.copy
Hi, Copying a non-existing file with file.copy creates an empty file > r <- file.copy("non-existing-file", ".") > r [1] TRUE ... and returns TRUE! Now, when used in "vectorized" mode > r <- file.copy(c("toto1", "toto2"), c("dest1", "dest2")) [1] FALSE FALSE file.copy looks much more reasonable,

zfs - filesystem versus directory
Folks, While going through a quick tutorial on zfs, I came across a way to create zfs filesystem within a filesystem. For example: # zfs create mytest/peter where mytest is a zpool filesystem. When does this way, the new filesystem has the mount point as /mytest/peter. When does it make sense to create such a filesystem versus just creating a directory? # mkdir mytest/peter Thank you in

playlist streaming
is it true it's not possible to start or stop indvidual streams using icecast2+icegenerator(liveice,ezstream) combination? i've tried mp3 directory streaming as well as playlist streaming - it works, but with no possibility to see full mp3 file listing and play control (like choosing a song, starting, stopping play). Icecast can't even diferentiate /dev/dsp input from playlist input.

Dash fails to link with KLIBCKERNELOBJ set
Hi, From the Makefile I figured that to build klibc where the kernel was built with O=/someotherdir, you need to do: make KLIBCKERNELOBJ=/someotherdir KBUILD_SRC=1 Everything seems fine though, but it fails to link dash with: ----- KLIBCCC dash/bltin/printf.o KLIBCCC dash/system.o KLIBCCC dash/bltin/test.o KLIBCCC dash/bltin/times.o KLIBCCC dash/var.o GEN dash/init.c KLIBCCC

Multiple --compare-dest args again
Hi all. A while ago (April 15th or so) I posted a patch that allows rsync to take multiple --compare-dest or --link-dest arguments, allowing fetching of files not present in multiple trees. I never got any feedback on it, though, so I'm picking it up again. :) Is there any interest in such a patch at all? Below is the usage example i outlined back then; --start-- [...] Its primary usage is

Size detection/replair does not work with zlib
Hi! Usually dovecot auto detects or repairs the size of a maildir message. So I can place a message named "foo" in the cur directory and dovecot uses it. Now I tried the same with a zlib compressed message but here dovecot doesn't recognize/repair the size of the message. When I access this folder via IMAP the connection is diconnected and in dovecot logs I see the following
