Trying to make tidy{} work
Hi,
Say I''ve got a directory full of stale Tomcat temp files of the form:
/usr/local/blackboard/apps/tomcat/work/Catalina/localhost/webapps_assessment/strts6866.tmp
and I want to delete any files that haven''t changed in a week and not
keep any backup.
Should this get rid of them:

Need tip on an inexpensive printer for college student using CentOS 5.5
Sending my son back to college with a dual-boot laptop with Win 7 and
CentOS 5.5. He uses Win7 to manage his iPod and SW that sometimes
issued by a professor for a specific course...otherwise he uses CentOS
for everything else. That setup worked well last year, except for
printing. He has a low-end Cannon printer that is not supported in the
Linux realm.
Most of his coursework was uploaded to

R question type in Moodle
Moodle (www.moodle.org) is an open source course management system, a
competitor to Blackboard. I am writing several hundred R questions
that will be used within the quiz module in Moodle. Unfortunately,
Moodle does not have a built in question type for R. You can read
about the different questions types in Moodle here:

The use of R Commander for beginning students and newbies
Everyone:

In the last few months I've noticed an increasing number of questions to
this list from students who are new to the use of R and who have limited (in
any) local support on R and specifically support for R syntax.

My text

error in passing an argument to do.call when do.call is in a for statement
Dear R-users,
I am having a problem with passing an argument to a function in a do.call function which itself is in a for statement.
I am building a function to upload question pools to the blackboard learning environment.
This function which transforms questions to XML style output should be generic and allow for any function to generate questions. Therefore I use do.call in this function.

R2html and Blackboard LMS
Dear R People:
Has anyone used R2HTML in web files that were on the Blackboard LMS, please?
I'm starting to do these but wanted to know if there were any
potential pitfalls.
Thanks,
Erin

Modification-proposal for %% (modulo) when supplied with double
Duncan, I think Emil realizes that the floating point format isn't
able to represent certain numbers, that's why he is suggesting this
change rather than complaining about our arithmetic being broken.
However, I agree with you that we should not adopt his proposal. It
would not make things more "user friendly" for people. Everyone has a
different application and a different use

[PATCH 0/3] xen: various changes to what we install in /boot
Jan suggested a couple of cleanups based upon my "xen: allow
architecture to choose whether to compress installed xen binary" patch.
So this series now consists of:
xen: allow architecture to choose how/whether to compress installed xen binary
xen: x86: drop the ".gz" suffix when installing
xen: Use $(T) and $(D) aliases in install target
