Question on MME and Compute Subchannel in Kepler+
Hello everyone, I've been trying to adapt a switch emulator to emulate nouveau's compute. We've been told some things like indirect dispatch use the MME in Nouveau, however, looking at NVIDIA's open gpu documentation there's no MME in compute engine since Kepler. https://github.com/NVIDIA/open-gpu-doc/blob/master/classes/compute/clb1c0.h MME for compute should still exist

[PATCH 0/3] nvc0: ARB_(multi_)draw_indirect support
The main patches are from Christoph. Unfortunately they're a little beyond my understanding of all the vertex-related details, but they generally seemed fine. I'm just going to push these unless someone steps up to review them. Christoph Bumiller (2): nvc0: add support for indirect drawing nvc0: fix translate path for PRIM_RESTART_WITH_DRAW_ARRAYS Ilia Mirkin (1): nouveau: check if

[PATCH 0/2] remoteproc : support for host virtio
From: Erwan Yvin <erwan.yvin at stericsson.com> This driver depends on Rusty's new host virtio ring implementation, so this patch-set is based on the vringh branch in Rusty's git. with the vringh wrapper patch on top. They do not apply cleanly on top of the remoteproc virtio config patches from Sjur, but it merges fine. CAIF will use this new host virtio ring implementation. Ido,

[PATCHv3 vringh] caif_virtio: Introduce caif over virtio
From: Erwan Yvin <erwan.yvin at stericsson.com> Add the CAIF Virtio shared memory driver for talking to a modem. This CAIF Link layer communicates to the modem over shared memory. It is implemented as a virtio_driver. The underlying virtio device is managed by the remoteproc framework. The Virtio queue is used for transmitting data to the modem, and the new vringh is used for receiving

getaddrinfo: Host not found problem
Hello, I am trying to use rsync (version 2.5.5) in a server client model to distribute software files. When I kick off the rsync client on an AIX 4.3.3 pwr3 platform, I get the following error message. We are in a real bind to get this protocol going; any help/insight/suggestions would be "greatly" appreciated. rsync: getaddrinfo: grp4c 873: Host not found rsync error: error in

apply and functions with many arguments
Dear all, I would like to use the following function fitdist(data, distr, method=c("mle", "mme", "qme", "mge"), start=NULL, fix.arg=NULL, ...) for many different distr values like distr=c("norm","lnorm","pois") (just a small example) and take back into a list the parameter name which is what is inside distr plus what the

FLAC encoder craps out at 2 GiB border
As if I hadn't had enough audio problems yet (Audacity won't record in 24/32 bits in spite of the MME driver being capable of such (verified with line-in plugin for Winamp) and stays in 16 bit, now I need to find software that works; a driver bug causing only 32 bit int to work for recording complicates things further), now I've also encountered a FLAC encoder file size limit. unexpected EOF in read_timeout (was Re[2]: [Fwd: Re: meaning of "IO Error: skipping the delete...."]])
This is where it sets a sort of 60 second timeout if you don't set a timeout at all. As far as what it affects, I'm not that good with the code. I just know that my big syncs would die in almost exactly 1 minute unless I specified a timeout, and then would die at that timeout until i got it very large. +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Tools@willy

[PATCH v2] drm/nouveau/gr: enable memory loads on helper invocation on all channels
We have a lurking bug where Fragment Shader Helper Invocations can't load from memory. But this is actually required in OpenGL and is causing random hangs or failures in random shaders. It is unknown how widespread this issue is, but shaders hitting this can end up with infinite loops. We enable those only on all Kepler and newer GPUs where we use our own Firmware. Nvidia's firmware

"rsync --delete" won't delete certain files
Hi, as I just discovered, in recent versions of rsync the "--delete" option seems to not work in certain cases. I couldn't come up with a simple scenario to reproduce the problem, so I'll have to tell the whole story: I use rsync to regularly backup a system onto other disks. The filesystems I want to save are mounted on "/", "/usr/ and "/data", the

[PATCH] nv50,nvc0: set vertex id base to index_bias
Fixes the piglits which check that gl_VertexID includes the base vertex offset: arb_draw_indirect-vertexid elements gl-3.2-basevertex-vertexid Note that this leaves out the original G80, for which this will continue to fail. It could be fixed by passing a driver constbuf value in, but that's beyond the scope of this change. Signed-off-by: Ilia Mirkin <imirkin at alum.mit.edu> Cc:
