multiple daemons on the same port
I thought if a daemon is already running on the default port, I thought the additional ones started on the same port will result in an exit with error, but somehow it seems to work just fine. If I kill the first process, the second process seems to take control of the port. As far as I know you can't have two processes binding to the same port, so does that mean the second process is just

Producing plot using polygon function
Hi, I am looking forward to fill the plot using conditions on variables a2 and a3. Whenever variable(a2) goes above variable(a3) i fill it with some color . I am storing the coordinates of a2 and a3 in x and y as well as time where it is occurring . But it is not producing properly. I must be wrong in assigning coordinates. What should be the correct way to produce the desired plot? Thanks in

tryCatch() and preventing interrupts in 'finally'
With tryCatch() it is possible to catch interrupts with tryCatch(). Then you can use a 'finally' statement to clean up, release resources etc. However, how can I "protect" against additional interrupts? This is a concern when the hold down Ctrl+C and generates a sequence of interrupts. Example: tryCatch({ cat("Press Ctrl+C...\n"); Sys.sleep(5); }, interrupt =

Dead Keys Solution (although temporary)
Hi, I require dead keys to be "productive" with Linux and I require Lotus Notes to communicate... I've installed Lotus Notes 5.0.8 (All Clients), successfully. Created a link in "C:\Program Files\Netscape\Communicator\netscape.exe" which in turn points to /usr/bin/netscape which runs Netscape 6.2.1 from /usr/local/netscape/netscape... This allows the hyperlinks to work
