Hi, I have a group of users (Doc Master Index) that is given rwx permission to a subfolder under a share folder (docs) by ACL. If user edits the file in NT the permission remains intact, but if user changes the file in W2K, everyone gets read-only. Would someone give me a couple of pointers please? Hi, I have a Network Storage Device mounted as smbfs. When I transfer data using rsync, the permission of files transferred changes automatically to 502.501. I couldn't even issue a command chown.
