Can anyone fix this?
Hi,
I appologise for the bad ettiquite of this, but I have tried looking for some
HTB examples that would help me, and am having trouble understanding how the
tc filters should work, but I can''t figure out why this isn''t working.
I''ve written this script, based upon the ultimate traffic shaper at LARTC, to
try and shape for me and my 3 housemates.

setkeys and Sweave
Hi there:
Using
\setkeys{Gin}{width=1.0\textwidth}
\setkeys{Gin}{height=10cm}
\setkeys{Gin}{height=0.8\textwidth}
all seem to work under R-2.1.1 under sparc, solaris2.9, but
\setkeys{Gin}{scale=0.3}
\setkeys{Gin}{angle=90}
do not work. I have not been able to find relevant information, googling
on setkeys proved confusing, at best.

Setting default plot size in Sweave
Dear Colleagues:
I have used
\SweaveOpts{prefix.string=plot, eps = FALSE, pdf = TRUE}
\SweaveOpts{width=5, height=4}
<<fig=T>>=
plot(...)
@
But the figure still has a width of 80% of the text width, the default
set up by Sweave, which issues a LateX command in Sweave.sty of
\setkeys{Gin}{.8\textwidth}. Sweave.sty has a command

HTB theory?
Hello,
I have been searching for HTB theory documentation and found two interesting
sources - Devik''s page and docum.org FAQ. In some places they are
contradictory which make me think that Devik''s theoretic document (marked
"actual") is just too old and does not reflect the latest changes. After
reading http://www.docum.org/docum.org/faq/cache/30.html and others, I

Rgui maintains open file handles after Sweave error
Hello Folks,
When I run the document below through sweave, rgui.exe/rsession.exe
leaves a file handle open to the sweave-001.pdf graphic (as verified by
process explorer). Pdflatex.exe then crashes (with a Permission Denied
error) because the graphic file is locked.
This only seems to happen when there is an error in the sweave document.
When there are no errors, no file handles are left open.

Avoiding Delete key function as 'Quit R' in Rterm when there are no characters in cursor line

Duncan filed a bug report via R bugzilla (thanks).
There is no way to disable this functionality and it has existed for
very long time, I tested that at least in R 3.0. Optionally ending the
session was I believe intentional with Ctrl+D, when the input is empty,

That looks to me like a bug, but I don't use Windows any more, so I
won't offer to try to fix it for you. In fact I don't think Rterm has
many users at all: most Windows users probably use RStudio or one of
the other graphical front ends (Visual Studio, Emacs, Rgui, etc.)
So maybe you can track down the issue, or someone else will try. Or
maybe you'll just have to avoid

I don't use term, but I've just tested it and this is reproducable.
Is it a bug? Not sure. If you hit c after getting the message it will
cancel the q() request.

FR: Customize background colour of row and column headers for the View output
About the decisions:
Actually, the same way dataedittext modifies the text colour not only
of data, but also of row and column names, and dataedituser modifies
the colour of all the borders, I think dataeditbg should modify the
background of all the window, at least that "inside" those
borders. Otherwise, any other option for the background colour on row
and column headers would allow

SweaveListingUtils question
Hello,
recently I read about the SweaveListingUtils package and now I want to try
it out. However, I can not make it work...
Below a minimal example. The problem seems to be the following line
(generated by SweaveListingPreparations()?):
\ifthenelse{\boolean{Sweave@gin}}{\setkeys{Gin}{width=0.6\textwidth}}{}%
If I comment out this line, it works.
What can I do about this?
I am using the

I've just could test your suggestions on using dataedit... entries now, and indeed they work... partially. See, please, the next screenshot:

dataedituser modifies the red borders
dataedittext the yellow text
dataeditfg... I do not know, specified to green the output of View(mtcars) does not change from that of the screenshot

a bug in smbmount
Hello All!
There was a problem: then the samba server goes down, the smbfs
tries to reconnect only once. Then the server returns online
the smbfs dont restore connection and say "I/O error"
without keeping trying to reconnect.
I found that there is no problem in smbfs kernel module.
Each time it got CONN_INVALID, it send SIGUSR1 to smbmount daemon,
which has to restore connection.

autoscaling plot font size in Sweave output possible?
Hi,
I was wondering if it's possible to have fonts in plots to be
autoscaled to the same font size used by LaTeX in a surrounding
Sweave document.
Here's a short example in which the fonts of the first plot are
barely readable:
--8<------------------------schnipp------------------------->8---

FR: Customize background colour of row and column headers for the View output
A criticism of your suggestion is that it is not backwards compatible.
Does that matter? I don't know, but probably not. The X11 version of
the viewer does what you suggest.
