[LLVMdev] The future of class2llvm tool
Hello! Recently I found an interesting tool within java front end of llvm project. It is "class2llvm". My future researchs showed that this tool is much out of date and needs a lot of things to do for its completion. As far as I understood, It doesn't support even such elementary things as exceptions handling and garbage collection. Am I right in my conclusions? Could you answer

no gnome-applets in C7.2
Weird. There seems to be quite a bit of software missing from C7.2, gnome-applets being one of them. Or has it been moved or renamed or otherwise obscured? tia

Java RE
Hello. Package Manager reports (with a green checkmark) that I have java-1.6.0 installed on my machine (running Cent 5.3), but it seems to not be running. I used http://java.com/en/download/help/testvm.xml and got "Something is wrong. Java is not working." Perhaps I'm confused on which program I need to use java-coded apps. PM lists this app as "OpenJDK Runtime

ThinClients: Java Appletes and JavaScript
Has there been any Blogs or other discussions about Java Applets vs JavaScript? If appears (and I stress "appears") that JavaScript is getting the attention due to Googles use of AJAX and Java Applets do not have the same popularity. The reason I ask is that I have contemplated trying my hand at some Applets for my client as well as using some inline Java in Web pages. Any

A Working 64 bit Browser Plugin - at Last!!
FYI: Upon installing 64 bit firefox on RHEL 5/Centos5/SAL5 , the first problem everyone seems to complain about is no working java plugin. A patched plugin from the <discontinued> Blackdown Project was available, but it was written against the vulnerable JRE 1.4.2. I too gave up on this until I discovered Red Hat's "iced tea" project. The latest incantation for Fedora

Firefox 45.1.0 stability
Good afternoon, Apologies if this topic has come up before but I've found that the Firefox 45.1.0 stability to be somewhat lacking. For example, I can't use it for Twitter because it crashes. It also crashes when I log into gmail. This happens every time I try these URL's. Any suggestions on improving the stability? Thanks! Jeff

Java plugin (icedtea-web) does not load
Hi, After some recent upgrade or the other, the browser plugin for java no longer works in my CentOS 6 x86_64 setup - using Firefox. Applets won't load, and no java plugin is mentioned in "about:plugins". The "openjdk" Java packages as well as icetea-web are installed, though, and everything worked just fine a few weeks ago. Has anyone else seen this? Any idea what may be

CentOS 6 Xen virt* issues
Hello, I just upgraded some of my el6xen boxes to latest CentOS 6.7, Xen 4.4.3 and dom0 3.18.17 rpms, and noticed these new problems: 1) virt-manager fails to start with an error: "D-Bus library appears to be incorrectly set up; failed to read machine uuid: Failed to open "/var/lib/dbus/machine-id": No such file or directory" And indeed.. there was no such file. Migration stalls with 2.6.26.5 kernel
Hello, I have been struggling through the task of moving our infrastructure over to Xen VMs. We were initially using Ubuntu packages for both dom0 and our domUs, but experienced extreme instability so we moved to CentOS, which has been much more reliable for dom0. Since we already had a bunch of Ubuntu VMs, we left them using the Ubuntu 2.4.24-19-xen kernel, but this has turned out to be

[LLVMdev] 2.8 Release notes
Hi All, I've finished the first draft of the 2.8 release notes: http://llvm.org/docs/ReleaseNotes.html Please feel free to commit improvements and enhancements. There are "a lot" of changes that went into 2.8, but I think I've scraped most of them out of the commits. However, it is also highly likely that I missed something, so if I missed your favorite feature, please speak
