BugTracker Information - REPOST
All,
As a bug marshal, I have noticed quite a few bugs that seem to get
overlooked/ignored due to the fact that they do not have the appropriate
information in the bug information fields, or bugnotes. I am,
therefore, Reposting an old post from July 26th, 2003, to help clarify
the use of the Bugtracker. Sorry if you have read it before; this is

Warhammer 40k
According to the appdb
(http://appdb.winehq.org/appview.php?iAppId=1918), Warhammer 40k
should work almost flawlessy, however I am unable to even get the game
to run.
I'n installed the game on a Windows laptop (that's not up to running
the game) and copied that across. When I try and run it, the game
either complains that there is no cd in the drive, or that I must

A few questions for the braintrust
I have a few questions to throw out to the collective braintrust.
1. in core/fs/pxe/tftp.c, when communicating using udp, in connecting,
transmitting and receiving functions, errors are not communicated to the
user. In fact the comment after transmit specifies "/* If the WRITE call
fails, we let the timeout take care of it... */"
The question is: Should we notify the user that there

Door not hitting me on my way out
Sorry, folks. I wish our release developers well, and hope that they
can open up their processes to allow much needed community involvment.
But I've hopped to Scientific Linux and find it much more usable due
to their willingness to publish updates even without the entire new
release bundled, and the much timelier updates from the upstream
vendor. php53 and bind97 are directly available for

Narrow escape with FAULTED disks
Nothing like a "heart in mouth moment" to shave tears from your life.
I rebooted a snv_132 box in perfect heath, and it came back up with two FAULTED disks in the same vdisk group.
Everything an hour on Google I found basically said "your data is gone".
All 45Tb of it.
A postmortem of fmadm showed a single disk failed with smart predictive failure.
No indication why the

locked ldap users
Hello.
I'm having a problem regarding locked users in ldap.
We are using 389DS ldap server. We lock our users with nsAccountLock=true.
If user successfully logs into dovecot, his credentials gets cached.
When this user is locked its credentials still stay in cache.
The problem I'm having is that our ldap server returns error code 53

altering revert effect based on if dropped on given droppable?
Hi All
Does any one know how to specify a different reverteffect on a
draggable if its successfully dropped on a given droppable?
What I need to do is when an image is dragged onto a droppable image I
want the drop image to be replaced with the drag image, the drag image
to fade out and then reappear where it was at the start of the drag, as
opposed to the draggable scrolling across the page

Applying game patches.
Hi all,
I've downloaded and installed Wine specifically to play Warhammer 40k,
Dawn of War. I checked out the app database first and the signs were
good, my version of Linux (Debian Sarge) was reported as working
(although the installer had been tested)
I ran the installer, and it appeared to work fine (although it only
asked for the 1st disk) but when I try and run it, it asks for the

It seems to work ok with the same audible quality as a
standard sampling rate. Is there any way to test this?
Will superimposing an inverse wave over the origional
produce a meaningfull result? Thanks for your time,

This is not correct, or at least is not meant to be. icecast2 is meant to
be able to accept connections from ICY sources. Some people,

Splitting a Vector
Hi all,
I read in a text book, that you can examine a variable that is colinear
with others, and giving different ANOVA output and explanatory power
when ordered differently in the model forula, by modelling that
explanatory variable, against the others colinear with it. Then, using
that information to split the vector (explanatory variable) in question,
into two new vectors, one should

Loop-vectorizer prototype for the EPI Project based on the RISC-V Vector Extension (Scalable vectors)

For VE, we want to do as much predication as possible through %evl and as little as possible with %mask. This has performance implications on VE and RISC-V - VE does not generate a mask from %evl but %evl is

testing table associations
First, thanks to everyone who replied to my pluralization question
from before! Today I''m confused by associations. I''ve set up a bunch
of associations in my models to describe these relationships:
- each user can have many bookmarks and tags
- each bookmark can have many users and tags
- each tag can have many bookmarks and users
(Part of what is confusing is that I can

Hi All
I''m not sure if this is possible but....
Currently what happens is this
*I have a draggable which is ghosted on drag

ghosted element reverts back to the origional elements postion
what I''d like is:

RE: graphical configuration tool.
ok, 2 issues that have been reported with ico2sambaconf-0.8.0:
1: the program does not run due to a config file i forgot to remove,
simply delete settings.conf from the programs folder and it will run
fine.
2: the magic line that makes it run from bash as a script is missing,
to run the program you need to type wish smbthingy.tcl
both these issues will be fixed by the next release, but for now

Different Domain Login.
Well, I haven't received anything from the LIST as far as replys yet..
but I went through the source code and added what I needed. If you know
which list is better to submit these changes to let me know.
I added a option in the smb.conf:
Default Authenticaion Domain
What it does is if you have that option specified, it will do a
comparision to see if the Domain specified by the user is the
