LDA randomly failing to write email to disk
We're using 2.2.13 with pigeonhole 0.4.3, in a clustered environment (maildir on netapp, dual dovecot instances where each server is both a proxy and a backend). Every now and then (once a month per user, maybe?), users will see a blank email in their inbox. Investigating further, and we will see that the only information recorded in the maildir file for the message is the Return-Path,

SWAT: How do I save the settings?
Hi, I might have overlooked something very obvious, but: I am running Samba 2.0.3 on a SuSE 6.0 system. When I connect to SWAT, I can see all the settings in the Globals sections, I can change them, but I can't find any button anywhere to *save* these changes... Can anyone help? :)avid <>< David A. DNS caching is not working on CentOS
Hi All: For whatever reason I can not get dns caching to work on any of my centos boxes. Running Centos 5 and 6. Any thoughts on why these will not run? The services start fine but when telling to perform a dig using itself as the resolver the queries fail (See below). Any help would be appreciated. emails getting mangled when dragging from Exchange account to IMAP shared folders
I'm having the most frustrating issue, and I'm at a loss for what is happening. I'm not even sure it is with Dovecot, but that's why I'm posting this here... if it isn't a dovecot issue, maybe someone can get me headed in the right direction? I've posted relevant dovecot and config info at the bottom of this post. Here's the scenario: We recently migrated our

[PATCH] pciback: restore PCI BARs on D3->D0 transition
Ever since xen-unstable cset 14308 ("pci back: Fix registration of of filters on subsections of config space") I''ve been getting an MCA on the *2nd* boot of a driver domain using an e1000 NIC. Cset 14308 allowed the proper setup of the PM control registers, so the NIC is put in the D3 power state when the driver domain shuts down. Unfortunately, pci_set_power_state()

Hunting a histogram variant
I'm looking for a histogram variant in which data points are plotted as labelled rectangles 'piled up' to form a histogram. I've posted an example at https://www.dropbox.com/s/ozi8bhdn5kqaufm/labelled_histogram.png?dl=0 It seems to have a long pedigree, as I see it (as in this example) in documents going back beyond the '80s. But I've not seen it in recent textbooks. So it

rsync fails with 2 sources
I have this failing every times I want to "update" the "destination". I've tried through SSH (from my box -/home is a NFS mount point here- to the backup one) or directly through "local transport" (because /home/ is a local RAID-5 mount point on the backup box). $ rsync -v -e /usr/bin/ssh -ax --delete \ /home/beta /home/worx \
