Hi, I use rsync to syncronize two systems. There are 2 million + files. My problem is 1. rsync is very slow (it needs more than 48 hours) 2. rsync needs too much RAM (ca. 750 MByte on each server) The backup software needs 14 hours including file transfer to the backup server for full backup. Hi all, Am wanting to backup three servers to a AIT tape device that is connected to a SCO 5.0.5 server. Apart from itself, there is one other SCO 5.0.5 system and a Slackware Linux server. I am using AIX 4.3.3 and 5.1, rsync version 2.5.5 protocol version 26 when rsyncing files that are larger than 2gb it dies. You get message about broken something. root limits is -1 filesystems are large file enabled.
