Plotting question
Hi I have a data set that needs to be plotted (see below) When I plot it using the simple plot(read_count ~ Cn), I get box plots for the read_count numbers plotted according to Cn. The Cn's on the x-axis are ordered: 10000, 100, 1000, 40, 400, 4000... How do I plot so that Cn is plotted on the x-axis in an ascending order: 40, 60, 80, .......10000? Thanks for your help. It's very difficult at least. I can't instantly think any sensible way forward, but you might be able to get somewhere using %a variable. azure AD Connect | passwords not syncing
For my script : https://github.com/sfonteneau/script_modify_password_googleapps_and_office365 Azure AD: https://github.com/sfonteneau/script_modify_password_googleapps_and_office365/blob/master/script/office/officepassword.py Another idea: AD refuses to change a password on a clear connection. It may be the same for the consultation of the hash? Have you set up lts or ldaps with ad ? The

We need to change our AD domain
Hi John, exactly, as MJ already wrote you should file a bug report if you have any issues. This applies to LAM as to any other software. LAM was tested with Samba 4 and different Windows versions. If there is any issue just provide me the details of your environment and the exact error. Then I can fix this in the next release. :) Bugs can be opened at GitHub or SourceForge:

Question on folder sync with "directory name translation"
OK , but then the solution with symlinks is equivalent, just with the right options for rsync. Make the link. Sync + exclude. Remove the link. Don't have to live with the folder on the source. *_______________Gionata Boccalini* 2015-06-08 22:49 GMT+02:00 Michael Johnson - MJ <mj at revmj.com>: > Oh, actually, I just thought of a couple other another options that don't >

Segmentation Fault when trying to set root samba password, IPA as a backend
Hi This is samba-4.2.3-11.el7_2.x86_64 on CentOS... I'm trying to setup a Samba NT4 domain, with FreeIPA as a backend... Right now everything works.. except that I need a Domain Adminstrator... smbpasswd -a root, segfaults... probably because the user doesn't exist in FreeIPA If I create the root user in FreeIPA, it instead gives: [root at bart samba]# LANG=en smbpasswd -a root No

under some kind of attack
Hi, Thanks for the quick follow-ups! Much appreciated. After posting this, I immediately started working on fail2ban. And between my initial posting and now, fail2ban already blocked 114 IPs. I have fail2ban with maxretry=1 and bantime=1800 However, it seems almost all IPs are different, and I don't think I can keep the above settings permanently. Robert, your iptables suggestions are

He MJ, Ah, my user does have an UID/GID assigned. Did you "copy" the administrator user or did you create a new user and gave him administrator rights. azure AD Connect | passwords not syncing
That is a major bummer. :-( Would it work any better, if I promoted our windows 2012 server to a domain controller? Or would that have all kinds of other side-effects..? (we're currently running three dc's, all samba) One side-effect I can think of: GPO's, in a mixed samba/windows DC...? Any ideas what the requirements on the samba side would be, for samba to be able to

We need to change our AD domain
I'm happy to leave things as they are. As I can see no advantage in using LAM I won't be following it up. After all, it makes no sense to have an AD environment without at least one Windows client, so to my mind it makes sense to use the native AD tools, which have a far better understanding of AD than a generic LDAP tool. regards, John On 31/08/16 17:54, mj via samba wrote: > Hi
