GSM ISDN gateway to quadbri NT port under bristuffed Asterisk - where to set gain (I have unreliable inband dtmf recognition )?
Hi, I'm getting unreliable dtmf recognition (it works fine for 4-5 digits, errors (duplicates) on more), when transferred inband from gsm gateway to NT port of quadbri under bristuffed Asterisk..... Since Asterisk is claimed to have good dtmf recognizer, I suspect there are some settings to workarouned... I've tried dtmf relax, but didn't help, so I suspect gain settings.... Is

voip-info.org unreliable lately?
Anyone have any insight as to why voip-info.org has been up and down all day, and more importantly unreliable for the last month? I assume the bandwidth is being donated or something, but surely someone would be willing to donate reliable bandwidth as the knowledge hosted on the site (which is also donated!) is worth way more than the bandwidth. There is no doubt it is the best

Update on "non-dying" nx connections over unreliable network
Dear Sirs & Madams: Thank you so much for your help. To remind, my situation is a wireless connection that is unreliable, where: (a) upon disconnect, !M's nxclient does not recognize connection death (b) after I manually kill nxssh and reconnect, reconnection takes some time. My idea: intercept myself in between NX client and server - detect connection drop, and reconnect. This is

White Screen of Death
Hello, I''ve heard these words to describe a RoR application returning an empty page. This happen from time to time even here, in the forum. That is the cause of this misbehaviour ? Is it related with something external to RoR itself ? What is the solution to avoid the WSOD ? -- Posted via http://www.ruby-forum.com/.

[PATCH] Unreliable network connections with 3.0.1
A lot of people have complained about unreliable connections to W2K and XP machines. The folowing patch solved the problems for us. I have no idea why it works, but after this patch we had no more problems connecting to workstations in the domain. --- samba-3.0.2pre1/source/rpc_parse/parse_net.c 2004-01-06 22:08:41.000000000 +0100 +++ samba-3.0.2pre1/source/rpc_parse/parse_net.c 2004-01-07

O_EXCL unreliable?
Hi all, I fear I can't rely on "open (path, O_CREAT | O_EXCL)" behaviour on samba share. The libc's doc says: If both `O_CREAT' and `O_EXCL' are set, then `open' fails if the specified file already exists. This is guaranteed to never clobber an existing file. But this isn't probably true on network filesystems. When I run this tiny program on

Dealing with an unreliable remote
'Lo. I've run into a frustrating issue when trying to synchronize a directory hierarchy over a reliable (but slow) connection to an unreliable remote. Basically, I have the following: http://mvn-repository.io7m.com/com/io7m/ This is a set of nested directories containing binaries and sources for projects I develop/maintain. Every time a new release is made, I deploy the binaries and

getent acting unreliable with idmap_ad
I'm trying to get my linux boxes to authenticate to AD using winbind. I need to get my uid's from AD so I'm using idmap_ad. I got to the point where 'getent passwd' shows me the list of unix users from AD with all correct details, however when I do 'getent passwd <username>' for any username from the list returned by 'getent passwd' I get an empty reply

UTStarcom F1000 - WLAN connection unreliable
Hi list, I bought two UTStarcom F1000 phones, pre-equipped with the latest firmware, including WPA support. Those are configured to register to an asterisk server on the internet (not LAN), and registration works. Calling and being called also, with transfer and all bells and whistles. After a few minutes up to 5 hours (varies widely), the display tells me that an Accesspoint is not available

sshd refusing connections problem
We have been having a problem with sshd on our shell server. This has been happening since March 4, 2003 or before IIRC. Initially I thought the next OS upgrade, to 4.8 would fix this. I am accustomed to haveing little things go away in a month or two. I think we jumped to 4.7-STABLE on Feb 28, 2003. Some exploit fix wasn't being MFSd to RELENG_4_7 fast enough for my nerves (cvsd?). It

why are qemu-img and vhd-util created files incompatible?
I was wondering if someone can shed some light on why vhd files created with qemu-img don''t really work right with vhd-util and consequentially blktap in general. To validate the incompatiblity its simple enough to do qemu-img create -f vpc test.vhd 40g vhd-util snapshot -n child.vhd -p test.vhd Which will show the below and then the headers don''t display the BATMAP summary:

one brick one volume process dies?
hi everyone I have 3-peer cluster with all vols in replica mode, 9 vols. What I see, unfortunately, is one brick fails in one vol, when it happens it's always the same vol on the same brick. Command: gluster vol status $vol - would show brick not online. Restarting glusterd with systemclt does not help, only system reboot seem to help, until it happens, next time. How to troubleshoot this

I am getting this error on a Win98SE pc, but not on WinNT4 or Linux Redhat 7.1 or 7.2. I have cygwin installed on the win98 and NT. Rsync is version 2.4.6 Is it just because Win9x SU**s? Also where can I get a list of

Routing problems - Apache proxy vs. Webrick direct
I dropped the use of fastcgi because I could not get popen working (see ''[Rails] Apache2 and popen''). It works under WebBrick. Since CGI is too slow, I thought I''d proxy to WebBrick via Apache. I am having routing problems now with escaped slashes in the URL. Here''s my routes.rb: map.connect '''', :controller => "wiki"
