Trouble using Ecdf () from the Hmisc library
Hello: [Kindly Cc when replying] The question in a nutshell is this: Is there a more robust alternative to Ecdf ()? The details: I've used Ecdf () _a lot_ over the past few years and I have learned to live with its warnings. But I am running short on time and patience now [*] Here is a reproducible example: > library (Hmisc) > x <- read.csv ( file =

[PATCH] nouveau: Load firmware for BSP/VP engines on NV84-NV96, NVA0
These chipsets include the VP2 engine which is composed of a bitstream processor (BSP) that decodes H.264 and a video processor (VP) which can do iDCT/mo-comp/etc for MPEG1/2, H.264, and VC-1. Both of these are driven by separate xtensa chips embedded in the hardware. This patch provides the mechanism to load the kernel for the xtensa chips and provide the necessary interactions to do the rest of

[RFC][PATCH 1/2] Btrfs: try to allocate new chunks with degenerated profile
If there is no free space, the free space allocator will try to get space from the block group with the degenerated profile. For example, if there is no free space in the RAID1 block groups, the allocator will try to allocate space from the DUP block groups. And besides that, the space reservation has the similar behaviour: if there is no enough space in the space cache to reserve, it will reserve

[PATCH] nouveau/video: make sure that firmware is present when checking caps
Apparently some players are ill-prepared for us claiming that a decoder exists only to have creating it fail, and express this poor preparation with crashes (e.g. flash). Check that firmware is there to increase the chances of there being a high correlation between reported capabilities and ability to create a decoder. predict(backSpline(x)): losing my marbles?
I'm sure I'm doing something completely boneheaded here, but I've used this idiom (constructing an interpolation spline and using prediction from a backSpline to find an approximation profile confidence interval) many times before and haven't hit this particular problem: r2 <- c(1.04409027570601, 1.09953936543359, 1.15498845516117, 1.21043754488875,

vonage.ca * integration possible?
I just got setup with vonage.ca with the motorola ata unit.. I fired up ethreal and checked out what's flying over the network... The sniff below would lead me to believe that it might be possible to have asterisk spoof the User-Agent field and register itself? Any thoughts/feedback? Thanks. > > No. Time Source Destination Protocol Info >

Error while Mounting
I am attempting to setup a 2 node ocfs2 cluster. At this point, I have the latest 1.2.1 version of the tools on both nodes. They are not running identical kernels (one is 2.6.16.18, the other is 2.6.17.1) both are using the kernels built in OCFS2 modules, not using from source. I can mount my iscsi volume on either node individually, but when I attempt to mount two nodes, I get the following

nrow(rbind(character(), character())) returns 2 (as documented but very unintuitive, IMHO)
Hi Hadley, Thanks for the counterpoint. Response below. On Thu, May 16, 2019 at 1:59 PM Hadley Wickham <h.wickham at gmail.com> wrote: > The existing behaviour seems inutitive to me. RWeka - Error when attempting to summary() model
I'm a big fan of both Weka and R (quite new at R :) ), and jumped at the chance to use them together. Unfortunately, I'm running into what is probably a dumb error when trying to view info about my model. A Google search turned up 0 hits for the actual error I got (last line), but you all are smarter! My code is below, but basically my data frame (q) is imported via RODBC and has 1586

SMP goes away after installworld (4.8-STABLE)
Hello, I installed 4.8-RELEASE a few weeks ago, and since I let the effort sit stagnant for a while I decided to do the cvsup/buildworld/buildkernel/installkernel/installworld/mergemaster/MAKEDEV steps to get current. Went fine, rebooted, then noticed that just one CPU was recognized: FreeBSD 4.8-STABLE #0: Thu Jun 19 17:05:20 PDT 2003

A race condition introduced by changeset 15175: Re-init hypercall stubs page after HVM save/restore
For an SMP Linux HVM guest with PV drivers inserted, when we do save/restore (or LiveMigration) for the guest, it might panic after it''s restored. The panic point is inside ap_suspend(): .... while (info->do_spin) { cpu_relax(); read_lock(&suspend_lock); HYPERVISOR_yield(); ----> guest might panic on the invocation of this function.

[RFC, PATCH 9/24] i386 Vmi smp support
SMP bootstrapping support. Just as in the physical platform model, the BSP is responsible for initializing the AP state prior to execution. The dependence on lots of processor state information is a design choice of our implementation. Conceivably, this could be a hypercall that awakens the same start of day state on APs as on the BSP. It is likely the AP startup and the start-of-day model will

new ogg-tools module in cvs
FWIW, I've just imported my mng-over-ogg code into xiph.org cvs. There are currently too tools, both under the new 'ogg-tools' module: 'oggmerge' is intended to multiplex files of various formats into a single ogg bitstream. Currently it only creates degenerate mng-over-ogg files. Next step is to add support for multiplexing with ogg vorbis files, and jack will likely be

TargetSelect.h and layering
My only alternate ideas are: a) To heck with this only a single target thing. b) Autogenerate the entire file and library support as part of the build and have the various functions "defined" in the appropriate libraries. I don't really think a) is feasible, and b) is a bit of a stretch too. :\ -eric On Mon, Dec 4, 2017 at 5:37 PM David Blaikie <dblaikie at gmail.com>
