Large File Support on AIX 4.3.3
I've been trying to get rsync to work on AIX 4.3.3 with files > 2GB. I've looked through the archives and saw reference to this, etc. on HPUX but have not been able to come across a solution for AIX. I've tried compiling with the following flags without luck:
"-D_LARGEFILE64_SOURCE -D_FILE_OFFSET_BITS=64"
There error I'm getting is as follows (when hitting the 2GB

Error when compile rsync
Hi,
I tried to compile rsync-2.5.2 on Solaris 5.7 Ultra-2 machine,
5.7 on Ultra-2 is running 64 bit, but, when I ran configure,
it said no for largefile, I thought 2.5.2 will support large
file? Is that true?
Thanks,

ggplot: dodge positions
Dear all,
I want to get a series of boxplots (grouped by two factors) and I want to overlay the original observations and the following code does almost what I want:
library(ggplot)
ddf <- data.frame(x=factor(rep(LETTERS[1:4], each=30)), y = runif(120,0,10), grp = factor(rep(rep(1:3, 10), 4)))
ggplot(ddf, aes(x, y, colour=grp)) + geom_boxplot() + geom_point()
Yet the position of the points

The form of files is such :

Anyway...i just need the data from first two columns (length (m) and
Temperature (C)), and no data before that...
This Lenght (m) values are always the same. My final dataset should lokk

apply: return list of matrices
Hi everybody,
Suppose we have the following data structure:
ddf <-data.frame(a=rep(1:4,3), b=rep(paste("p", 1:3, sep=""), each=4),
c=c(1,0,0,1,1,1,0,1,1,1,1,1))
I want now to make a contingency table for each pair of values of p,
i.e. a contingency table for each of the pairs (p1,p2), (p1,p3) and
(p2,p3). The result should be given as a list of matrices:
# [[1]]

ggplot2: legend
Dear all,
I produced the following graph with ggplot which is almost fine, yet I don't like that the legend for "Means" and "Observations" includes a line, though no line is used in the plot for those two (the line for "Overall Mean" on the other hand is wanted):
library(ggplot2)
ddf <- data.frame(x = factor(rep(LETTERS[1:2], 5)), y = rnorm(10))

What do you think about my function?
Hello,
I want to know what do you think about my function. I know that it isn't
briliant :/ but what do you think? What I should do that my function will be
better? (now is very slow and not ideal, sometimes I also get a mistake!)

Reconstruction of a "valid" expression within a function
Hello all,
I have some trouble in reconstructing a valid expression within a
function,
here is my question.
I am building a function :
SUB<-function(DF,subset=TRUE) {
#where DF is a data frame, with Var1, Var2, Fact1, Fact2, Fact3
#and subset would be an expression, eg. Fact3 == 1
#in a first time I want to build a subset from DF
#I managed to, with an expression like eg. DF$Fact3,

mrds function integratepdf cannot be found
Hi,
Trying to use the function integratepdf of the mrds package, I get this
message:
|Error in integratepdf(fox.ds$ddf$ds$aux$ddfobj, select = rep(TRUE,
nrow(fox.ds$ddf$ds$aux$ddfobj$xmat)), : could not find function

Has anyone already had this issue ? Maybe the function is not exported
in the namespace?
Best,

rsync -rcv printing out filenames when content identical
Hi,
I'm heavly relying on rsync -nvrc during my day-to-day work in UNIX-like
enviroment. I'm using rsync for few years now and today I've found a
situation which I do not understand.
I have two directories with few maildirs in it. Each maildir containg
some emails. I'm testing scripts which I wrote to manipulate those
emails.

polkit helper timeout and defunct pkla-check-authorization processes on CentOS 7.3
Hi everyone,
We seem to be having issues on multiple CentOS 7.3 machines. The problem
seems to revolve around polkitd. At some random time, polkitd seems to stop
responding on my systems. Along with this, there might be hundreds of
defunct pkla-check-authorization processes. If I reboot, then things are
fine for a while.
I don't see any activity in the unabridged journal to suggest anything

imapsieve: script not triggered
Hi, folks!
My problem:
I set up dovecot with imapsieve to execute a script whenever a user copies a mail to his Spam folder (spam autolearning). Unfortunately this script is never executed regardless what I?m configuring for imapsieve. It looks like dovecot doesn?t really load the plugin?
The "dovecot -n" output is attached.
I already tried setting imapsieve_mailbox1_name to *, but
