Getting an array of ids from form checkboxes?
Is it possible to set up a list of checkboxes so that the form parameters are given in an array (eg {"delete_list" => [3,6,7]}) ? At the moment I''m using <%= check_box_tag "delete_list[#{post.id}]" %> ...which gives parameters looking like {"delete_list" => {"3" => "1", "6" => "1",

Error trying to compile 2.6.0 on Solaris 9 Sparc with gcc 3.2
Hi. I'm trying to compile rsync 2.6.0 on Solaris 9 Sparc, using gcc 3.2. The configure script seems to run with no problem. But when I go ahead to make, I get the following error output: -----8<------------------------------------------------------------ gcc -I. -I. -g -O2 -DHAVE_CONFIG_H -Wall -W -c rsync.c -o rsync.o In file included from rsync.c:23: rsync.h:371: warning: no semicolon

Device majors incorrectly set to 0 during rsync
OK. Didn't see anything about this in the archives, other than an old post from 2000 about a similar problem, so here goes. Feel free to contact me if I can provide anything else useful. Problem: -------- Major numbers on 64bit Solaris are being dropped, and created as 0 on recieving end. 32bit version works perfectly. Environment: ------------ Solaris 8 or Solaris 9 (haven't tried

make clean
I just did a make clean to tidy up a bit and found four objects were missed. The seem to belong to the CHECK_PROGS set. Not sure where best to put them so created a CHECK_OBJS variable and added it to the clean rule. -- ________________________________________________________________ J.W. [PATCH] api: Add a special type for the flags argument.

[PATCH libnbd 0/2] generator: Preparatory changes to the generator.
These are some simplifications to the generator. They don't probably make much sense on their own, but they are preparatory to better handling of enums, and or'd lists of flags. Rich.

[RFC libnbd PATCH 0/4] Add CMD_FLAG_DF support
RFC because this is an API break, but we haven't declared stable API yet. If we like it, I'm working on using libnbd to implement the nbdkit-nbd plugin; knowing whether it is API version 0.1 or 0.2 will be useful. I also dabbled with allowing optional parameters in python, although my OCaml is weak enough that there may be cleaner ways to approach that. Eric Blake (4): api: Add flags

[RFC libnbd PATCH 0/2] Start fixing python nbd.pread_structured_callback

[PATCH 0/6] Implement OClosure.
Patches 1-4 are basically uncontroversial, straightforward refactoring and IMHO we should just push them. Possibly 1-3 should be squashed together, but I posted them separately so they are easier to review. Patches 5 and 6 together implement OClosure. Patch 5 adds the feature and is simple to understand. Patch 6 changes the Closure completion callbacks into OClosure, but because it doesn't

[PATCH libnbd] generator: Define new Closure type
** INCOMPLETE ** This is the generator change as discussed on the list already. The Python and OCaml bindings are not yet done. It passes all [C only] tests and valgrind. Note that nbd_add_close_callback is inconsistent with other closure types because it passes the user_data parameter after the function. (This is not caused by the current patch, it was already inconsistent). We decided that

Rsync cross-compilation problem
Hi all ! I really appreciate rsync, so that I would like to make a package for the mips architecture, but I encounter a problem when trying to cross compile it : the configure script has been called using the following options : --with-gnu-ld \ --disable-largefiles \ --with-included-popt \ --with-rsh=ssh \ And when using the cross compiler, I get the following message : In file

[PATCH libnbd v2 0/5] lib: Implement closure lifetimes.
v1 was here: https://www.redhat.com/archives/libguestfs/2019-July/thread.html#00231 The changes address everything that Eric picked up in his review of the first two patches. I have also added two more patches (4 and 5) which respectively fix docs and change int status -> unsigned status, as discussed. Passes make, check, check-valgrind. Rich.

[PATCH libnbd v2 0/3] Implement OClosures.
v1 was here: https://www.redhat.com/archives/libguestfs/2019-August/msg00168.html I pushed uncontroversial patches 1-4 v2: - The implementation of OClosure (new patch 1) in Python is fixed. - Patch 2 (old patch 5) is unchanged. - I added a new API for removing debug callbacks. I think this approach has some advantages over using OClosure. - I didn't yet do any work on changing the

new option suggestion '--backup-only'
Hi, How about adding now option '--backup-only' that means making backups only and don't change any destination files? (I posted similar patch a month ago, but the patch was made for nightly snapshot of 20020808, which was tooo old! Laugh at me...) I want to use rsync with LVM snapshot to make incremental backups like below: 1) Make LVM snapshot of file system and mount it.
